Argh! I am not yet fully at peace with myself. I am still missing at least 3 of those goals to say that I am totally at peace with myself.

There is at least one of those facts that I have achieved and that is not to let others influence me and my thinking and I take full accountability and responsibility for my acts. Other people's opinions are just washed off, just like the water is being repelled off the feathers of a duck.

Since I swim against the current most of the time with my opinions, I have learned to accept the fact that others do not think the way I do and their criticism leaves me cold.

Still, I have much room for improvement.

That's great that you are able to do that. That's the way it should be.
My first husband and my son's Dad abandoned us without any notice and left us with no money and stole my car that I had before I knew him. I never saw my car again and didn't have any family to help me with anything.
But I forgave him. I loved him so much when he left us and it just never turned me against him. Yes, my heart was broken 💔 in two, but I have been able to live peacefully for the past 40+ years. Our son was just born.
He's 48 now.
