I like late summer to autumn time of year. Most of the out of town people that stay here during the busiest of the summer months have left town for the winter. Things just seem more calm at home when I come back on breaks.
The other reason is where I live. We still get plenty of warm days in the fall due to our climate. It is can be back and forth warm and cold, but we are almost guaranteed stretches of nice warm days.

  Yes. All tourists or out of town summer residents are gone. Just us locals!
  
  Though I do go back to school about an hour away. I still get to come home when I want.
