They look at a pile of bones and can somehow tell what color the dinosaur skin was or features that don't even make sense and that I don't see possible to get from some bones, are they just making shit up? 😂

You see that crack on the femur bone right there? Well that tells us the dinosaur was purple. And that crack next to it means the dinosaur swung its neck like a baseball bat.

I think scientists have a good idea what the dinosaurs would have looked like by comparing their bones with today's living animals like birds and crocodiles.

The scientists do something similar with forensic facial reconstruction, this combines anthropology, anatomy and art.

Scientists analyse the bones to determine biological profile traits, then apply standardised tissue depth markers and muscle placement rules to build a realistic approximation of a person's appearance.

Yes, nobody knows what dinosaurs actually looked like. In my opinion they probably had big fluffy ears but because the ears haven't survived as fossils scientists assume they didn't exist. As for colouration, nobody has a clue.
