I actually happened to see eagles today...
they're amazing of course... but also a very rare sight around here
they were cruising across the skies, high high up there... barely caught them lmao... one blink and you could lose focus of them
Nice and yeah that's true, if you blink you’ll lose them especially with a clear sky 😄
clear skies... we finally got them today
That’s good 🙂
Double rainbows are pretty common in the UK especially in spring and autumn. If you see a rainbow try looking through polarised sunglasses, it'll help you see the second one better
Nice pic and thanks for the advice 😊
Yes, I saw the second sun, after two days in the desert. Then my skin began to turn red
Wowzza 😄
I have seen that happen before. Also seen the northern lights.
I want to see the northern lights someday 😊
Well, to be honest, it wasn't watch you typically see pictured. We were able to see it from our state (in the north of US) because of some phenomenon going on.
It was visible, but probably nothing like being in northern Canada or Alaska. Still cool. The other one was us being in the path of totality for a solar eclipse. That was really cool.
This summer I saw two red moons... does that count? No photos to show for it though...
Wowzza.. sounds amazing 😊
They were!! August and starry nights...🙃
Yes, several double rainbows and at least one triple.
a few UFO's.
Reallyyyy 😄
Yes.
There was an older guy, Frank Gallo, that lived across the street from me. A jolly old guy who loved dressing up every Christmas as Santa Claus and going door to door to all the neighbor's houses who had kids just to see how thrilled the kids were that Santa showed up at their house before the big day and to give the kids a big thrill!!
When I was in my early 20's, I decided to rebuild the shattered sidewalk in our back yard by myself and he came over to help without me even asking. I did most of the work but he helped or at least showed me how to do this or that.
A couple years later, I had 8 different newspaper routes, one of which was about 3 miles from my house. I was on that route one day (it was a once a week paper) and, on my way home, it started raining buckets!! I ducked into the Murphy's Mart lobby at the mall to get out of the rain `til it stopped. On the route, I'd usually take my Walkman with me to listen to music on the trip. This time, I was listening to my Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band albums. They mix big band style music with rhumba. As I was in the lobby waiting for the rain to stop, one of the songs being ABOUT rain, I was thinking about how Mr. Gallo would love to listen to this stuff. Then, the rain stopped, the Sun came out and there was a TRIPLE rainbow!! The third one was still in the process of forming but you could still easily see the third arch in white forming over the other two.
It took me about another 15:00 to walk back home and I got there a bit late for dinner because of the rain so, as it was spaghetti, I got myself a plate and sat at the table to eat, still listening to the music.
About the time I finished eating, mom came into the kitchen and told me that Mr. Gallo had just died that day!! I asked her what time, she told me and it was at that exact same time that the rain stopped and we got the triple rainbow!!
I deemed that rainbow as the guide to light the way for Mr. Gallo and the rain was the storm he was dealing with as he was dying!!
Dark rainclouds and sun in the same area... I didn't take a picture of it, though.
Yes here in New York in September we had double rainbows over my house because of the nor Easter
Perseid meteor shower.
Also… last week I saw the full moon during the day a few times and loved it. Sadly, no photos of this either...
Nice 😊
@ElenaLena not like that
Yes... Northern Lights
