Girlfriends getting lazy about shaving legs, why and what does it really mean?

Question

So I've noticed with my past girlfriends they stop shaving their legs as often if at all the longer the relationship goes and most of my other guy friends say their girlfriends have done the same. I don't expect ultra smooth baby skin on girl's legs 24/7 but it's nice if they shave at least twice a week or however often it takes to keep from getting really stubbly. So why when you like a guy more and more do you shave less and less for him?

I slack a little more during the colder months because my legs aren't being regularly exposed UNLESS I'm with someone. I got with my ex at the end of winter last year, and hadn't shaved in a while, but he didn't care. He was glad when I finally DID, but he never complained when I'd have stubbly legs. I have really sensitive skin and can't shave more than like twice a week anyway, so some stubble is inevitable. I got with my current boyfriend in early winter this year, and once again my legs were fuzzy, and he didn't care. I've shaved since, but he doesn't mind any stubble, he's into me anyway. So it makes me feel good that these guys have still been into me and found me sexy, even with the fuzzy legs. Further into the relationship though, it's definitely a comfort thing. I AM more on top of it when it's warmer outside though, because my legs are more visible, and it's uncomfortable to let it grow out as much when I'm going to be getting sweaty, lol.

You are getting things confused. I don't shave less because I like you more. I shave less because its a chore and I'm comfortable enough to have a bit of stubble on my legs around you.

Girls I know have to shave their legs every other day to keep from getting stubbly. I mean, they get stubbly after one day. It gets annoying to shave my legs everyday.

I think it is because we become comfortable. In the beginning, we are embarrassed by hairy legs or want to impress him and have him see us at our best. Eventually, we become more secure in the relationship and more comfortable with him seeing us at less than our best because we trust him. And that is the point when we shave our legs a little less often.

I live in the north (South Dakota) and a lot of girls slack off in the winter...and I am fine with that...first hair doesn't bother me like some of the fastidious freaks on here...2nd they usually wearing pants or they in bed...hardly ever see their legs anyway...and, if it's soft then don't really feel it ...wife isn't very hairy...some of my old gfs were a little more hairy...(:

Because they're comfortable around you. Are you in it for the person or their physical attributes? Do you usually dress in a suit and tie with clean shaven face and polished shoes every time you come into contact with your girlfriend? No, because you're in a serious relationship and are around the person because you care for them on a deeper level than how smooth their legs are.

Well, I personally don't shave for guys at all. When I do shave, it's for me. Doesn't matter if I have a boyfriend or not.

But I do agree with what justlilly said when it comes to girls who do it at first and then do it less and less. It doesn't necessarily mean she's "letting herself go," I think it's a good thing because she doesn't feel like she has to be perfect 24/7 for you to like her. That's a sign of a great boyfriend, when you know he thinks you're sexy no matter what.

i shave every time I shower EVERYDAY COUPLE TIMES A DAY but I just hate body hair lol... theyre getting too comfortable. its a respect thang for me though, like losin weight, doin hair or makeup, getting dressed up. I always gotta look good for my man. but that's just the way some women are... if it really bothers you talk to her about it or get the razor & throw her ass in the tub.

and twice a week? I don't even shave my legs...it only has 10 hairs on it! screw that! no one looks a it D:

my boyfriend doesn't shave though :/ he only shaves and put colonge when he goes out with his buddies :o

I stopped shaving more than once a week when my boyfriend stopped appreciating it. We weren't having sex as much and he wasn't really paying a a lot of attention to me, so why should I keep up all that time-consuming work for someone who isn't going to notice?

I make effort when I know it will be appreciated. Otherwise I behave like I am single and just focus on more important things than shaving parts nobody is going to be seeing.
