For me it's Bob Dylan, with the exception of 'Lay Lady Lay". He's a talented writer but not so much at singing.

For me it’s Ed Sheeran 😅 Super talented songwriter, absolutely respect his success, but his music just feels very safe and formulaic to my ears. I rarely get surprised or emotionally shaken, it’s more like background noise in cafés. I’d rather listen to artists who take more vocal or production risks and feel a bit less “polished playlist” 🎧✨

For me it's Taylor Swift at the moment. Shew seems like a good person and she certainly has a huge following. She has a good voice. But all of her stuff is just forgettable for me. The lyrics don't resonate. The melody doesn't make me tap my foot. Ask me 5 minutes after I hear her song and it's totally gone from my mind. Good pop has you humming a song all day after you hear it. Her stuff is elevator or dentist office material for me.

Contrast that with a Beatle's song. Michael Jackson. Pink Floyd. Stevie Wonder. Aerosmith. Fleetwood Mac. U2. Heart. Bob Seeger. No comparison.

I prefer just modern stuff - I'll make some small exceptions for *classic single songs* or maybe some Elvis, Bee Gees, Village People
