What will happen if you use shampoo or shaving cream or other toiletries past their expiration date?

Think of other toiletries too, lol, I only used those two as examples.


What about make up? toothpaste? Soap? Acne pads? Mouth wash? etc etc.

Well your skin can become flaky and you might get some sort of infection, products shouldn't be used after their expiration date, otherwise, you will pay the consequences. I live with a crazy person who throws out my makeup that's 3 months expired and they weren't cheap! But I broke out A LOT when I used expired products, but I don't recommend using expired shampoo and shaving cream (they won't do the job they're supposed to.)

Shampoo should be fine...depending on how old the shaving cream is it might turn all nasty and liquidy or chunky though...so that could be gross.:p

mascara should be replaced about every 6 months because bacteria can start growing on the brush and the tube and anything that's liquidy will eventually just dry up. it'll never harm you though unless you ingest it.

Shampoo shouldn't have any ill effects, nor should soap. Mouth wash, toothpaste, acne pads would all lose their effectiveness, rendering them useless. But the chemical composition of some of these products should give them a long life span.
