What does a girl mean when she says "you did nothing wrong"

my girlfriend and I have been together for almost 5 months. and we have been just fine up til now. now we have been talking through the phone and text til she broke her phone a little while ago. so we have been talking through aim while she is on her comp and I'm on my cell. and today we have been talking right, everything is going good til I didn't send anything back for like 2 mins. now my phone does take a little while to send and receive messages through aim mobile. and after that 20 min period of silence I sent something back and she got mad. so I apologize for not sending anything within that time period of silence. and she kept saying its ok its ok just shut up. you did nothing wrong. now what I want to know is she mad at me for what I did or is she mad at something else entirely separate? I need some help.

if she's mad about something else should I call her or aim her and ask her whats the matter? OR if she's mad at me should I bring it up to her when I call her or aim her or should I just drop it and move on?

Shes probably just being a girl about it. Girls think irrationally when their emotions get involved in a situation. She was probably mentally going through everything you could have been doing during that 20 minute period instead of talking to her. She may have thought that she wasnt your first priority because you didn't reply right away. Just explain to her that your phone takes a while to receive and send messages.

Or she could have meant that you should stop worrying about having not responded quickly because it didn't bother her that much.

Dont bring it up because she may not have even cared that much. If she seems upset then you may want to bring it up because in that case she may have cared or she may be like you said dealing with something else in which case you should ask her what's wrong.

Ok now I have explained to her that my phone does take a while to recieve and send messages. and I asked her what was wrong and she said nothing so then I brought up the 20 min thing and I apologized for it and she said ok watever. then she said maybe ill ttyl. and she signed off.

Yeah don't bring it up. She really didn't care as much as you thought she did because of the way she responded. It was no big deal.
