Boxers vs. briefs vs boxer briefs?

Why do people always ask if a man is a boxers or briefs man? What does it mean?

I've only been with my boyfriend and he wears boxer briefs, is that suppose to mean something?

It really doesn't "mean" anything. It's just a preference, and some women have a style preference.

Wearing boxers for a guy instead of briefs is like a girl wearing a tank top instead of a bra: there's no support and you flap around sometimes. But there is a perception that boxers are "cool" or "sexy" and that briefs are "nerdy" (though women seem to love boxer briefs?), so lots of guys wear boxers because they think/know women like them better.

Also, guys who wear their pants hanging down off their ass wear boxers, because their underwear is always showing, and boxers give you better coverage.

But beyond that, there's no "meaning." It's just whatever the guy is most comfortable wearing.

Personally I don't care what other people think, those are definitly the most comfortable underwear I've ever worn and they also last if you take care of them properly. They're a little on the pricey side but hey, for something you're going to use everyday you shouldn't cheap out.

no it is just that regular briefs are very old man-ish, the male equivalent of granny panties. boxers or boxer briefs are normal

Boxer briefs all the way. Boxers are too baggy and briefs are too tight/pinchy on the balls, hybrid is awesome.

And yes that's the key to the universe right there, if you solve the mystery of the eternal philosophical question: "What is the meaning of boxer briefs?" then you can write a book about it and you'll be rich!

Some guys ask other guys because they like to give them sh*t. It's kind of like a girl asking her friend if she wears granny panties or a thong.

I personally wear boxer briefs because they are way more comfortable and I know the ladies like them too. Boxers ride up and can literally twist to the point of cutting off circulation in your leg.

I find briefs too small and will give you a wedgie. Boxers are fine, except they're loose and will start to bunch up during the day and get really uncomfortable and start chaffing so you have to adjust multiple times and pull them down some during the day. Boxer briefs are snug enough on your legs to keep from bunching up, but aren't so small that they give you a wedgie.

It means he likes boxer briefs. I'm more of a boxer kind of guy unless I'm playing a sport then boxer briefs is the way to go. Got to keep the boys somewhat protected.

Boxers are suppose to increase sperm count. Briefs squish your package and keep your balls close to your body so the temperature can kill sperm. Boxers let your balls hang free and move towards or away from the body depending on heat. When I was a little kid I wore briefs, but have been wearing boxers most of my life. I don't know how guys wear briefs, they crush my junk. Maybe they are just smaller in the pants so it doesn't bother them as much.

I used to only wear boxers. Boxer breifs proved to be more comfy, and also, the girlfriend loves the bulge it creates lol

Its a comfort thing, that's all. It doesn't really mean anything, I myself am a boxer-brief man, but it all depends on personal preference.
