I personally don't care for the yoga pants phenomenon. It instantly puts my mind into a sexually objectifying state when I see a woman wearing them in public. I really don't need another excuse to stare at women's butts. How would you ladies feel if you had to look at guys walking about in G-strings all day long? Co-workers and friends and people in your home town. I'm guess you would probably feel a little uncomfortable.
Someone asked this the other day (live, not on GAG), and I have been wondering about it since its. OT something I do unless I'm in a gym class. Girls who wear them as a fashion statement (to clubs, throughout the day at work/school, are clearly just trying to get male attention. They can claim the leggings are comfortable, but many othe clothes are also comfortable (and less revealing), so if a girl says "oh it's just so much more comfortable" with that fake innocence guys eat up so easily, it's an act; don't buy it.
i do think that they are comfortable. no zippers, no buttons, and they are not restricting. Blood flows better, to your abs and legs. And they can look proper when put together with a dressier shirt. But I also wear loose proper pants, and they are great. But life is so fast, that when you go to the gym you have other things to do afterward. And no time to change.
They are really comfortable, and they fit better for girls with bigger hips and small waists, which jeans aren't cut for in America. Plus they look better than pants for something. I wear them if I'm going to be running around all day, and need flexibility.

For the most part, I don't think wearing yoga pants is a huge problem. I personally don't wear them, but when girls start wearing shear, thin, leggings, THEN that raises issues. I don't see how girls claim them to be comfy, neither do I even understand why they wear them as pants. Maybe it's not for me to understand. But I personally think that look is trashy. My opinion.
I wear mine often but not all the time, if you see me out with them it's because I'm active that day and probably on my way or coming back from working out. I don't wear them because I'm lazy and don't want to wear anything else but nothing is wrong with that. Unless that's all you wear, that would be boring but damn it they're comfortable dude!! lol
hahaha. I like this question. I actually do practice yoga , sometimes stop at the store on the way home, and am seen in public wearing my yoga pants. When I'm not in yoga gear, I'm usually in scrubs. When I'm not wearing either of those, I like a pari of tight jeans, too.
I personally don't feel as put-together when I wear yoga pants. I'll wear them if I'm not really going anywhere or on really cold days in the winter when I don't feel like putting cold jeans on. But, other than that, I like to wear fitted or skinny jeans and a loose top because I'm still comfortable, I just look more put-together.

Yoga pants and leggings are just like second skin, exposing of every bit.

I don't wear mine all the time. I mostly wear them around the house, and only wear them outside the house if I'm running errands or something and don't care how I look (or if I'm doing yoga, obviously). They're just so comfy! I don't wear them to try to draw attention to my butt or anything, in fact, when I do wear them out I feel slightly self-conscious about that because I've heard they're really distracting to guys and I don't really want creeps staring at my butt.
I only wear them at home for lounging around in. It's not lazy because it only takes a few seconds longer to put on a pair of jeans. I think it's more the fact that they're comfortable and girls think that yoga pants look great on their body because they're tight and thin enough to show the contours of their behind but still thick enough to hide that cellulite and shape their flat or unshapely butt, which may result in so very precious attention of guys.
I like wearing them because they are comfy :) I like jeans too but lots of times, unless the jeans stretch, they are tight and just not as relaxed as yoga pants. I don't see choosing comfortable clothes as laziness, just preference.
Yoga pants are very comfortable and easy to move in. I like the cool designs on the waistband and how it makes my booty look good; that is a bonus!. But I don't wear them very often, I use my yoga pants for dance most of the time and I do workout in them sometimes (:
