+1 yI think she's pretty. She's certainly not the only flavor of attractive out there, but her facial features if you transformed her skin color into something else would still be stunning. I don't see why because she's a Latina that would make her less attractive.
06 Reply- +1 y
well yeah, I get that lighter skin is preferred which is why bleaching in the industry is common but that's not the point.
- +1 y
Says who? There are some people who are into the lighter the better, but who said that was a majority? I think most guys would take a girl who looks like her than a white as snow girl who had a really unattractive face.
- +1 y
This isn't a competition between her and a snow white chick with an ugly face
And if lighter skin was not considered more attractive, people wouldn't bleach their skin. Asia has the biggest skin bleaching industry. Why? Because lighter skin is attractive to them. Beyonce bleaches her skin as did Nicki Minaj.
It appeals to the majority - +1 y
That's their culture, I don't live over there so I can't explain why they are like that. As for the U.S., if a girl has attractive facial features, I think her skin color is of less concern. I don't really care what celebs do.
- +1 y
And that's the culture over here
- +1 y
So, couple things. Is she pretty? Yeah, duh, of course she is. Is she black? Yes. Does part or all of her background include some form of Latin American extraction? Yes. You can be both black and "Latin," which by the way is a meaningless descriptor. These things aren't monoliths.

no, the ones on here. as most do, which is fine, but if one does, perhaps they shouldn't answer
4.7K opinions shared on Other topic. Yes, she's pretty. She's a bit too thin (Hollywood effect), but definitely pretty. And I *generally* don't go for Latinas (and I'm part Latino myself).
13 Reply- +1 y
I think she's just naturally thin...
- +1 y
Not all "Latinas" look alike or are alike. She's thin becuase she's a trained ballet dancer. She has actually gotten a little bigger since her firsr role in 2001.
2K opinions shared on Other topic. she looks like a girl I once had a huge crush on, the only thing that would make her look better is about 10 more pounds in 'strategic' areas lol.
20 Reply2.4K opinions shared on Other topic. I can't really tell from a face pic. I mean, yeah, she's cute, but it's hard to really assess the full scope of a girl's beauty without considering her entire body.

+1 yShe's pretty, but correct me If I'm wrong, isn't she biracial? Puerto Rican(Hispanic) and Dominican(Black). Yes, Dominicans are Latin, but many of them are black, for those who may not know(e.g. David Ortiz).
218 Reply- +1 y
That's not biracial...
And to these people, they know nothing other than Sofia Vergara or Jessica Alba - +1 y
How is a person that's Black and Hispanic not biracial?
- +1 y
Hispanic and Hispanic...
Dominicans are Hispanic...as are Puerto Ricans
If both of her parents are morenos, that's not biracial. - +1 y
Hispanic and African. All Dominicans are not Hispanic, but they are Latin, which is not the same. Have you ever been to the Dominican of Republic? If you have, I'm sure you noticed all the Black Dominicans there. On another note: the D.O. is next to Haiti, which is why some Domincans are part Hispanic and part Haitian. Feel free to correct me If I'm wrong.
- +1 y
Ethnic categories in Latin America are different...they focus less on race and more on ethnicity, which Hispanic is. Black, white or Indio, Hispanic is Hispanic.
I've been to Puerto Rico twice...
And are both of her parents morenos? Because if they are, they're Hispanic. - +1 y
Nah, being Latin doesn't mean that a person is Hispanic, nor does being Spanish. Black Dominicans are not Hispanic, at all; however, they are Latin because of their culture. They say that they're Hispanic because of the langauge they speak and the culture they live by, but some are are not morenos. I read on wiki that she's multiracial. I'm half Puerto Rican, so of course I think she's Hispanic. I just question the percentage that's all.
- +1 y
Uh, black Dominicans ARE Hispanic...
This has nothing to do with being Latino.
She's Hispanic, not biracial. That's like saying a person who is Irish and French is biracial. Puerto Ricans can be dark skinned
We don't know what her parents look like so I'm not sure how your theory of "she's biracial" came from...seems like the typical Hispanic ignorance of anyone who isn't brown can't be Hispanic, despite the fact that Spanish people are considered Hispanic - +1 y
Listen; Africans(Blacks, Negroids) migrated to the D.O., just like they migrated to Brazil, Cuba, and Peurto Rico etc, and then they reproduced. Some reproduced with other Blacks and some with Hispanics, etc. Does moving to a Latin country change their race or make their kids 100% Hispanic? No! Yes, Spanish people are considered Hispanic, but there are a lot of White Spainards. Am I wrong?. I can refer you to an article which stated she was multiracial. It also said that if asked, she admits
- +1 y
being part Black. If the article is correct, then you are right, she's not biracial. She's multiracial.
- +1 y
You're over thinking it lmao
I'm considered Hispanic and I'm part black. whaddyaknow
Every Dominican I've known is considered Hispanic
Spaniards are considered racially white, but ethnically Hispanic. How would I know? My grandfather was Spanish.
Dominicans may be considered black(if they are) or indios(if they're more that) but their ethnicity is Hispanic. Their race doesn't change it.
But even so, being Mexican and Colombian doesn't make one biracial, neither does being Puerto - +1 y
Rican and Dominican.
race =/= ethnicity
- +1 y
Rican and Dominican is a nationality. Hispanic is a race. I'm half Hispanic, but often say that I'm half Puerto Rican, because that's the nationality of my ancestors. My acestors could have been born in Egypt and sitll would be Hispanic. Egyptian would have been their nationality and Hispanic(morenos) is their race. No hay problemo. Eso es dicutible.
- +1 y
Hispanic isn't a race, it's an ethnicity. You can be any race and be Hispanic
- +1 y
Yes, that's what some say. Some consider it a race, some consider it an ethnicity. I mainly refer to it as a race(morenos) meaning the dark people( excluding non black, Indian, or any other dark complected races) that originated from Spain or Portugal, and so do other Hispanics that I know. You're not wrong though. I just wanted you to see my point.
- +1 y
There are afro Puertoricans, too. There are afro Colombians and Venezuelans.
- +1 y
Moreno is not a race. We would say "negro" (black) and then had to start saying moreno, which simply means dark or tanned (and could easily be used to describe a black hair). It is the sort of adhective that could be used to differentia te between siblings (el hijo salio muy moreno, pero la hija muy blaca, bla bla bla). The reason people of Latin American extraction started using moreno instead is because negro sounds too much like the "n" word, and of course that particular epithet comes from the word negro, anyway. Hispanic is merely a genaric term thay iz used to describe people who have origins in Spanish speaking nations. It is far from a culture or ethnicity, or what have you. Case in point, yo so un Meixano y te juro que no tenemos nada en comun. Ninguna cosa.

Moreno is not a race.
