Is it me or are girls more cruel than guys?

When I first came to this site I wanted to hear guy´s opinions on different things, but I was kind of expecting them to not be understanding, and to be a bit cruel towards my questions. Boy was I wrong. Guys turned out to be a lot more understanding and thoughtful and girls are a bit mean, cruel and definitely not understanding. Of course, there are exceptions, I got great answers from girls too, but most of the time, guys seem better.

And I also notice this in real life. I always feel more comfortable with guys, even if I know they want to sleep with me lol

I don´t know there´s something about most guys that is very endearing and they have zero drama.

Again, I´m sure there exceptions, but this has been my experience.

Of course that overall, guys commit more crimes than women and you don´t hear about girls raping guys. In that sense, yes, men are more cruel than guys. I´m talking about everyday life and normal relationships. Let´s keep the murderers, rapists and all of that outside of this question.

Not in my opinion as I think both genders are equally cruel as to me cruelty to me is not a female thing or male thing it's a human thing.

Despite the often 'women = bad & men = good' societal norm I highly doubt gals are more cruel than guys as:

- statistics and studies show guys commit far more deadly acts against gals than vice versa

- I don't hear of too many gals watching, video taping, and joining in on a guy getting raped by multiple gals as I do with guys and the gang rapes of gals

- I don't see an Anti-American Man, American Men Suck, Anti-Marriage, and Foreign Men movement like guys have with gals

- I don't see too many gals calling guys 'stuck up self-entitled narcissistic princes with unrealistic high expectations'

- I don't see too many gals saying most guys are only good for one thing and good men don't exist and for the few that do they get told to stfu they're attracted to bad guys and nice guys finish last

If I didn't go by my perception that humans are cruel and went by my experiences than guys are far more cruel than gals. Such as:

I answered a housewife question saying it's not weird to me and don't change if you don't-

Guy: I'm to be pitied along with my future kids and need to pull my head out of my butt as I'm not following my heart rather an empty promise and have caved to the pressures of feminism as I don't know what's truly important.

Gal: She feels sorry for me and gals that don't want to be housewives as well as 'shaming' me for responding to the repeated insults I got by a commenter on my answer

I'm talking at a social event about what's a deciding factor in a partner and I say looks:

Guy: You deserve to get pumped & dumped

Gal: Really that's what's important in a guy for you how he looks whatevs

Rape, murder, suffering, and such are a part of life as they've existed quite some time and likely will continue to exist.

In my opinion normal relationships are happy and healthy and don't include cruelty...o.O

I totally understand where you come from. In general some girls can be so selfish, self conceited, cold hearted and just 2 faced. Its disturbing. I've met some of the meanest ass girls before before and I told myself that is one thing I don't and won't associate with. I hang out with my guy friends and I'm never in m drama, havnt been back stabbed or lied on and not once felt betrayed. I get talked about constantly by girls and I've never understood why... I try to be a good person and I'm sweet to them but for some reason they still are sneaky and put me down for something every day! Girl I'm with you on that (: I rather go to gym witg guy friends and listen to them talk all day about guy stuff before being in a room full with girls

Guys seem to be a lot more simpler than girls. Girls have too many secrets and manipulation issues where guys get things over and done with and are in their simplest form. Girls like to secretly battle and get pretty cruel without laying a finger on the other girl, but guys fist fight and it's solved and they can go about their way.

Though if you have girl problems, a girl is who you go to because there are some things that guys just will never understand. I guess it's just in our genetics.

I would agree that is generally true. Female mammals are very competitive with each other for males, and this carries over to women. With only a small percentage of males in any given mammalian species being seen as worth mating, female mammals must be nasty competitive with each other. Humans are mammals, so characteristics we observe in mammals can explain our actions. Male mammals exhibit mate-worthiness by being dominant over other males, and physical displays of attractiveness which implies high status and good health. Thus, men who are jerks attract plenty of women, becausing being a jerk implies he dominates and suppresses other men. Also why men like to drive fancy sports cars, the equivalent of peacock's feathers (I know, their avians lol but same concept). Female mammals only want their eggs to be fertilized by the dominant males, and no other eggs, so to ensure that's likely to happen, the females must be viscious brutally competitive with each other, tearing each other down, so the top males will choose them only. Thus women are catty, mean, bullying, and cruel to each other, all to impress men. For both men and women, these actions are done at the subconscious levels, so even people who don't WANT kids, still compete and choose partners as if they are still looking for someone worth having kids with.

I know you said you don't want male crimes talked about, but I think it's key in this mate competitiveness. Most crimes are commited with the subconscious motive of the man making sure his genes are passed, stealing and drug dealing to appear higher status (more possessions - peacock feathers), same with murder show higher status by eliminating competition, or by rape, forcibly taking what he wants. Understanding why we do things can possibly identify ways we can stop us from doing them.

I remember reading a law article about jury selection--it said curiously, that District Attorneys found that if you're prosecuting a rape case, with a female victim, you want to strike as many women as possible from the jury.

You'd think women would be more sympathetic to a female rape victim, but they found that the opposite was true. Men looked at the victim and thought of their wives, or girlfriends, or sisters being attacked, and were more likely to convict. Women were more likely to think the girl asked for it, or was a slut, etc.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Great example. Its as if girls would be happy if the rest of the women in the world were unhappy or suffering. I notice that boys tend to have close friendships and don't really speak ill of their friends or betray them. Girls, on the other hand also have close friendships but there is always some kind of competition going on. Again, I'm sure there are millions of exceptions, but in my experience, women tend to be more cruel.

Women are far more cruel in my opinion. Women are relentless, at least prettyones. They'll toy with many guys as long as they buy her stuff till she's exhausted his wallet, then move on. Women use sex as a weapon and use it to manipulate people and get what they Want. If you watch murder case type shows at all, you hear all the time of women getting close to a guy, then denying him sex till he does what she wants.

Also, look at it this way. When guys want to cause someone pain, it won't go much further than a beating. When a woman wants to cause some pain, it's a mental beating. Since they don't see it as physical pain or real pain, they are persistent and keep at the mental trauma. Bruises and broken bones heal fast. Mental scars take years, decades, hell maybe they never heal.

I think both are equally CRUEL, at least when it comes to relationships.

Guys are fairly well known to exert dominance on women and mentally abuse them.

Women are known to cocktease, and break hearts and manipulate just to entertain themselves and inflate their own egos. Hell, there's a female user on here (who I honestly shouldn't name despite wanting to) who openly admits to doing this.

The world is f***ed up, that's why I'm moving to the Himalayan mountains.

I agree with what you're saying completely. Guys generely tell it like it is.. Girls bring judgment and cruelty to their responses which overrides their jealousy. Girls can never be straight up with you like guys are.

It's not just you. Evolution rewarded guys that supported each other cause teamwork is very important when you are hunting for food or repelling an attack from a rival tribe. Guys that were nice, helpful, and cared about other people were more likely to pass along their genes. Women were rewarded for being spiteful, backstabbing and competitive. So it is the cruel ones that passed along their genes.
