Do you laugh at fart/poop jokes?

Question

Fart/poop jokes are everywhere; TV, films, comedians. I usually find them very funny, haha! Simple humor, yes, but it makes me laugh :-) I also enjoy dry humor, sarcasm and irony - all that. But fart/poop jokes still make me laugh.

I've known some people that don't see the humor at all, saying it's gross and not funny. Some even go so far as to act "better than me" because "my sense of humor is more sophisticated!"

Do you see the humor in these types of jokes?

If not, why not?

A guy told me today that he didn't care how hot the girl was, it would be game over for their relationship if she found humor in bodily function jokes.

I love fart and poop jokes. It's just a natural bodily function that everyone does so why be uptight about it. Those people that think they are better than you are not. In fact I think your better than them. I see the humour in these types of jokes. I think some people just need to lighten up to be honest. If you were my girlfriend you could talk about farts and poop all you wanted lol. As for that guy I think he is a bit immature to be honest. If I had a girlfriend I would encourage her to fart because i would not want her feeling all bloated, uncomfortable and sick, not to mention the fact that holding in your pee, farts or poop is bad for your insides and can leed to major operations being needed to save your life. If she ripped a big, loud or stinky one I would say something like "nice fart babe" and then hi5 her, followed by a kiss on the lips and I would tell her I love her. I am super relaxed about girls farting.

an old lady went to the doctor and said to him, "i keep doing all these really big farts but they are silent and don't smell. in fact I've done three since I got here but you probaly didn't even notice."

the doctor prescribed her some pills and told her to come back in a week when she had finished them.

a week later the old lady came back and complained to the doctor that her farts, though still silent, smelled terrible.

"good," said the doctor. "now that we've got your sinuses cleared up, let's work on your hearing."

I DO NOT take my self so seriously that i can not laugh at a poop joke. I ALSO love and appreciate more sophisticated humor... if a person told me it was "game over" because i appreciated a bodily function joke.. I would laugh out loud at him/her then fart loudly.. and walk away in a proud, stinky, and gross manor.. just me though.

I don't find them that funny simply because as you said they are everywhere! They seem like the easy way out to make people laugh. But others must find them funny because they are so common.

I see the humor in the jokes but they're just not all that funny to me. I don't think anything special about people who enjoy them other than that they are easily amused.

Sometimes they make me laugh uncontrollably. I think the fact that people are so uptight about both fart jokes and farts themselves is a big part of why the jokes are so funny. Obviously I try not to fart around other people, but if it happens it happens.

And a girl that can laugh at a fart joke is a girl with a good sense of humor, which is majorly important.

Yes I do, but I'm an extremely juvenile infantile dude. I also laugh at pretty much anything sexual or perverted. And I love a girl that allows me to make jokes like that and not get offended, because its pretty much who I am. I often say things just for humor and shock value. Since you actually love this kind of humor, you sound like someone I could get along with. And also, agree with David, pooping and farting is something every human being does. Its simply part of being human being, so why should we be uptight about it. Even people who are do it too, so those people are silly hypocrites. Its something we all do, so we might as well all just laugh about it together. There's really no reason we can't just openly fart either, because we all do it whether we hide it or not.

No, I don't. I just don't find bodily functions very funny- in comedy, in movies, whatever. As for other people, I don't care what they think. I can make my own mind up on what I find funny or not.

When done right, fart jokes are killer! They're best when they're just dropped into scenes randomly. Never fails to bust me up! As for if a girl likes them, no problems there.
