Good body v Good face?

Question

Are you more likely to go out with someone with a great face and a could be better body or someone with a amazing body but a okay face? Reasons for answers please :)

I'd rather go out with someone who I find engaging and nice, anything after that is a bonus. A good face is always nice, I don't really care for the hot supermodel body, its something that's not important to me really, sort of unrealistic too. I go for compatibility more than attractiveness, although being attractive to me is important, but not on the same level as personality. I believe that any face, no matter how beautiful, will become mundane if you've been looking at it for long enough, this is why the persona is very important and serves to let you really know a person and it keeps things fresh. Of course I find a hot body or whatever appealing, and being a guy its hard to not take it into account, but I remind myself of what's really important then everything is OK. Happy xmas

Guy voting is laughable. Take a pretty but fat friend and a butter face friend out to a club and see who gets hit on more.

I think in general people are imagining both are fairly hot.

As I've said before, an 8 body and 4 face beats a 4 body 8 face. On the other hand a 10 face 8 body beats an 8 face 10 body.

bodies fall more into a 'yes/no' scale. If its 'no' then face doesn't matter. I think guys here are imagining a big group of young women out at a club.thats not a typical sample of women.

I also think my view on things should be considered encouraging. Yeah being gorgeous is all about genetics, but most of us are capable of achieving a -decent- body. Not perfect but decent.

Face, hands down.

Reasoning:

a) if *need* be, a body can always be improved upon through hard work and diet

b) I'm not really picky when it comes to a person's body and have liked guys all across the board; thin, built/athletic, overweight, etc.

c) a person's face is *much, much* more unique and individualistic than their body and therefore (in my mind anyhow) is more of a defining characteristic of who I think *they* are

d) overall, I think the majority of a person's attractiveness is determined by their face (personal opinion of course)

And lastly, I'm not going be talking to their "abs" or gazing deeply into their chest hair when we talk and hang out lol.

Face all the way! Don't get me wrong a great body is ideal but it's also something that can be changed, ie. losing weight or getting toned up and muscly :) can't really change the face when it comes to guys.

Girls can wear lots of make up, fake lashes and dye their hair etc to change the look but then it becomes unnatural.. So definitely the face ??

I like eyes so it's face for me. I don't care about their body if they are ripped or skinny. I love a mans personality and depth the most, guys get a hard time but there is sweet ones out there.

Beautiful iris colors and manurisums , good heart and beautiful soul.

Yes, people can be born with some more attractive faces and some not so attractive, but

Take any man or woman, and put them on a healthy diet for a month, get really fit, and get a nice hair cut/style and perhaps some confidence for a great smile, and their faces will look much, much better.

How many EXCEPTIONALLY fit and healthy individuals do you know whom you still believe to have ugly faces?

I'd wager it's very few.

Besides that though, and more properly addressing the question, I'm rather divided. I have a great affinity for pretty faces, but my heart also tells me it's unfair. I feel like I should give everyone a chance, and so in the right circumstances I think I may largely ignore a face in favor of other attributes. You can't change what you're born with, and some people are absolutely beautiful inside but never given a chance to reveal it.

I much prefer a good face. My favorite sexual position is missionary, and I can mostly just see my girl's beautiful face. While her body is only so-so, that's no big deal. She's not fat, and that's the main thing for me. Honestly, the face is what you look at most of the time.

Talking solely about looks, I'd choose someone with a great face. First and foremost, it is the face of a girl that usually attracts me first and when I'm attracted it's the first thing I look at before looking at the body. Second, a body can be far more easily corrected than a face if it looks unsatisfactory (in the latter case one'd have to go through surgery rather than working out).

It's all about balance. Maybe it's shallow but I don't think I'd be attracted to someone with either extreme (great body but unattractive face...or attractive face but unappealing body). Between the two I guess face is a little more important,  because you have more control over changing/improving your body.

The face is what I fall in love with, but a great body is important. But this is in cases that aren't extreme. If it's extreme ends for either, I just won't choose. Average body, and hot face > average face, hot body.

I find that typically I am attracted to a girls face. If the personality sucks then the face suddenly seems less attractive. But if the personality is attractive then everything about them (face, body, etc) becomes more attractive

If you're talking about just a girl in the bar or out and about. Typically a face...but sometimes there is a body that just makes you say "damn!" in which case the face can increase in attractiveness because the body is so hot

I'd go for the guy with a nice face, no contest. You can change your body through diet and exercise, but aside from some wacky and expensive plastic surgery, you're stuck with your face. Even if a guy had a great body, it doesn't make up for a less-than-average face. Example: Taylor Lautner.

great face. eventhough I do sometimes look at certain body parts I'm not going to talk to them or see them every morning when I wake up. I never was attracted to someone just for their body. plus you can tone your body really easy : it's called exercising or going to the gym, eating healthy.

PS: weird as girl answers were mostly about body over face while guys the other way around.

I 'analyze' from head to toe, so good face. If the face is bad I'm not checking for his body. In this situation, I'd prefer a great face. But realistically he needs a great face and a great body...
