If a girl calls her boyfriend an idiot repeatedly, what does it mean?

This girl at work repeatedly calls her boyfriend an idiot because he went to Germany to play professional hockey. We live in Canada, so I can understand why she is mad. Why would she vall her boyfriend an idiot many times?

Also, I do not get to see her often, but recently she asked me to cover a shift for her and I am available so I said yes. her response was "i owe you a beer". This wouldn't mean anything would it? Then my response to I owe you a beer was to "lol" laugh, because she has a boyfriend.

Hmmm, I can't tell what her context actually is, but it doesn't sound like this girl respects or supports his decisions.

The beer thing, idk, she may not have meant it flirtaciously, only to pay back your favor, but again, I don't know her personally to know her demeanor.

You don't really give enough info to go on, but I don't personally care for the idea of anyone calling a S/O an idiot for any reason. She clearly needs an open talk with him and to be more empathetic to his dreams. She sounds like she doesn't understand why it matters so much to him. Whether she agrees with his reasons or not, he isn't necessarily 'an idiot'.

shes probably mad because of the long distance I'm assuming. but this guy decided to follow his dream of playing hockey and took that more seriously than his relationship with her.

is he there perm or just for the hockey season?

about the covering the shift thing - anytime I asked people to cover my shifts or vice versa, we would say things like that .. 'i owe ya..'

dont think it means anything that she said she owes you a beer.

friends can get other friends a beer - my guy friends do it all the time for me : MEANS NOTHING!

They seem to have some problems to sort out I think, as others said she just seems mad he's gone away to play hockey, she is probably just missing him a lot is all, that's the only reason someone would be mad when they go away for a bit as alsorts start running through a girls mind like "what if she finds another girl and cheats on me? what if he sleeps with her?" bla bla and all that lol, don't pay any attention to it, people are confused when they are mad at their boyfriend or gf.

she's turning her feelings of missing him and of him being so far away for so long into anger. she probably doesn't really mean it.

there could be some deeper meaning into the beer, but I highly doubt it. you did her a favor by covering her shift so she's gonna buy you a drink. just a friendly gesture. maybe go out for happy hour with all your co-workers some time and take her up on the drink

Not much to go on here, but sounds like she was hurt her boyfriend went, but it was easier to show anger than be vulnerable.

I wouldn't read too much in the beer thing, unless there is a lot else that backs it up.

She's real mad at her boyfriend and feels hurt by the fact he's away but doesn't like showing weakness ...and no the beer thing doesn't seem like anything other than tryin to make you laugh...HOWEVER you my friend seem to have a crush on her and are looking for a thread of hope to keep you believin she might have a thing for u...ohh you know I'm right *wink wink* ^^
