What does he mean when he says, "talk soon"?

Okay so we were texting and he said when he was leaving, " talk soon?" Does this mean he wants to talk later, or am I supposed to text him first, what does it mean?

It doesn't really mean anything except that you'll probably see each other around and 'talk soon' or text sometime in the future. Its a very open ended salutation that doesn't mean anything. If he's interested, he'll message you first.
