Is there a difference between being a Bitch and being Mean?

I'm reading a book called "Why Men Date Bitches" and it has me thinking can you be a Bitch with out being mean about it. I find myself when I try to be a bitch I tend to be insulting to guys and they always tell me to be nice.

THAT is a funny book! I enjoyed reading it. ^___^ Sherry Argov doesn't mean it literally.

She says in the book she used the word Bitch to catch people's attention. What she meant by the word Bitch is being confident (having your own life, not allowing a man to walk all over you, not calling him 60 times a day, not asking him if all he sees you as is a piece of a** and relying solely on him to make you feel good about who you are).

Confidence= Bitch

So next time you talk to those guys just exude your confidence (aka "bitchy-ness") and then they won't get the wrong idea or see you as being mean to them. ^___^ V

Is there a difference between being a Bitch and being Mean?

In my opinion yes:

- b*tch is not being submissive, pandering, and placating to guy's demands and wants. In other words it's the female equivalent of how guys encourage other guys to act towards gals so a guy not being a submissive placater is okay while a gal doing so is being a b*tch.

- mean is hurting others.

You can't be a so called bitch without being mean. Just think about it, when have you ever heard someone use the word bitch to describe a nice lady and like the first guy said "we don't actually like the bitches" to be honest most guys just use them for sex and move on, but we do like the nice ones.

That would be a huge turn-off. I know a little bit about this book, though I haven't read it. But it sounds like terrible advice, unless you want to attract a-holes and weaklings.

If you look at the reasons why some women get called bitches, yes, there is a difference. You can get called a bitch for being assertive, "too" confident, being direct without being mean, etc. To them, this is mean, but they wouldn't call it mean if you were a guy.

Throw that book in the trash and be yourself. You won't find the person you are looking for if you try to be someone you're not - you will come across as fake, and although we might not be the best at picking up girls' signals, we can spot a faker miles away.
