Just how bad is it to call a girl a bitch?

Question

So I was at a kickback last night and this girl I know says hi to me and started hitting me like really hard she's a small girl so it didn't hurt or anything and I kind of just shrugged it off and I didn't really say anything to her but then later I went for some water and she pretty much karate chopped the middle of my Adams apple several times to which I replied "aye wtf bitch" and she got extremely but hurt from it and said what the hell don't call me a bitch and I had no idea what to say cuz it just kind of slipped and I didn't realize until after I said it. Then I kind of just left the house awkwardly and she didn't say bye to me when I told her bye lol. So is it pretty much over with this girl or is there hope?

I really wanted to hear other's opinions on this! A guy that I didn't know too well called me a bitch recently once or twice, and I felt very hurt, but I could tell he was joking. I initially was upset when I first heard it because I'm used to it being an insult. But really, nowadays girls (and on occasion I've heard guys) called other girls bitches when they're joking around. I personally hate calling people that as a joke, because I don't really like insulting my friends like that. I think that every girl's view on this is different. I'm sure that if you can contact her in some way and explain that you did not mean to hurt her, and it was a stupid joke that slipped out or something like that she will understand like I did in the end. Nope you a guy should never call a girl bitch, she found it really offensive, if you want the things to go back as they were, you amend the situation. Apologize to her and didn't mean it it just came out. :)

Calling a girl a bitch is extremely hurtful and degrading. You're pretty much lowering her to the level of a dog by calling her that, intentional or not.

Minor to moderately bad depending on the girl. Cunt is better if you're trying to offend. In that's situation, I think fucking cunt is appropriate. Or you could have put her down and say self defense lol.

It's over, you might as well have called her a thunder cunt. She was acting pretty rude but bitch is pretty harsh. I would've called her one but it's different when it's between girls than when a man says it to a woman.
