Do girls like the smell of Axe Body Spray?

We've all seen the commercials.  We've all smelled the Axe.  My question is about the perception vs the reality.

Axe is for high school boys (literally - that's specifically who it is marketed to). Grow up and get a real cologne like Polo Blue or Hugo Element or something. It's more money up front but you only need a tiny bit at a time so one bottle will last for years and end up being cheaper than Axe in terms of number of uses you get out of it.

And a man never needs body spray, period. As long as you're showering with a good soap and using scented deodorant (Old Spice high endurance has been my go-to for years) every day, girls will like the way you smell. That body spray sh*t is cheesy and just makes your clothes smell weird.

I know girls like it because I typically wear it more often than my cologne (since its cheaper), and I always would get compliments on smelling good when girls would hug me or something.

I think like most girls have stated, a lot of guys just simply put on way too much, either because they're young and don't know better, or because its form kinda makes you feel like you should just spay a bunch on.

I know I just do a quick line across my chest and one down each arm. Some guys just shower in it.

Those adds about the girls getting turn on just like that, seems to impact most of the gents (Not all of Them).

But to be honest with you, when I smell that, the first thing in my mind is : This guy smells like the pharmacy... or even worse if they put too much--just like those add shows.

I prefer much more the sexy scent of a good body wash (IE: Dove body wash) personally.

what I like for guys is old spice/tim mcgraws cologne those are my 2 favorites...i used to work in retail so I used to sometimes get samples of the tim mcgraw cologne & not throw it away for a few days  because it just smelled that good :) lol

I haven't smelled every Axe fragrance but from what I've been around before, I do not find the smell to be too appealing. It's just very overpowering, even a tiny bit of it is.

Much rather prefer cologne on a guy.

While it isn't the best smelling male body spray out there, the problem with Axe isn't the smell.  The problem with Axe is that most of its users are high school and college guys who don't know how to use it and typically have a, "the more the merrier," policy when putting it on.

my brother used to wear it when we were younger, it made me feel dizzy each and every time, there are some of their frags that smell OK when dried but I don't know what it is, perhaps the "explosive" smelled when applying it or the need to be extra powerful to make up for the lack of proper "base" and catalizers to keep the frag going for longer, but if you want to wear it as you would wear a proper frag it would be "too much"

Some of the Axe scents are really nice. I don't know how but I ended up with a tester of a Axe body spray for men and every now and then I'll sniff it cause it's so yum.

Why do we confuse body sprays with cologne and perfumes? They have a different purpose.

Axe is borderline acceptable for junior high boys.  There comes a time when a boy needs to grow up, become a man, and exchange the Axe for real cologne.  Aqua Di Gio is a personal favorite.

Us teenage boys use Axe Spray because after weight or gym we are sweating. Cologne and sweat is worse.
