In general, do guys prefer thick or thin hair?

my hairs blond, really really thick, voluminous and straight-ish and come to about my tummy button... is that good or bad?

While a thick head of hair can be nice, and is maybe a tiny bonus, it's just not something most guys give a lot of thought or care about. It's like showing a guy a great car that he likes, and then asking how important the license-plate frame is to him. Compared to the whole car, the license-plate frame is almost meaningless. If he happens to like it, great, but if not, it wouldn't be anything that would stop him from buying (or liking) the car.

Now, hair LENGTH *is* something guys might care a little more about. Most guys prefer girls with longer hair, as I do. That generally means hair that at least touches the shoulders, but for most guys, longer than that is just fine. A few girls can pull off really short hair, and a small number of guys prefer that, but both are definitely a small minority. As a rule, guys like long hair on a woman.

Why? Because long hair is a sign of youth and beauty, which are the things guys prize in a woman's appearance. If you look around, you'll notice that every woman who hits 50 cuts her hair off into a short, "sensible" style that says "I no longer care what men think about my appearance." Plus, many older women have thinning or unhealthy hair and can't grow beautiful, long hair. Guys, whether they realize it or not, pick up on this subconsciously, and prefer longer hair.

I'm just going to throw this out there guys don't know the length they want it's irrelevant. We all know that there are girls who can pull off short hair and others who make the long hair work. Be yourself and do what you like and play around with it until you find something that works for you. I would hate to see you get your hair cut 3 inches below your shoulder or whatever formula some guy tells you. Be smart ! And be yourself!

Personally I prefer long thick straight dark colored hair on a female, however, it isn't a strong determining factor in whether or not I find a woman attractive.

Thick and long are both great, but its not just about thickness. Its also about how it feels. Soft, Course, scruffy. Also the naturalness to it, strait, curly, wavy. All guys have different opinions but most of the guys i know like thicker, medium length hair.
color and naturalness aren't really a big deal cause they're easy to change.

Me personal I like Thicker longer soft Hair. Color doesn't matter and neither does the nature.

in common men like thick hair just like I do , but some of them like thin hair . it's matter of taste and mostly it long thick hair , and I like it blond ;) .

thick is good but a bit too long for me id say like three inches past shoulder length would be great
