How come Asians are baby faces?

I notice this a lot. Most Asians have baby face even in their 30's and really have a nice skin unlike Caucasian, their skin is so mature.

I think the melanin in Asian skin is higher which actually aids in protecting from the sun and aging. They tend to live a more natural lifestyle where the foods they eat are not only rich in antioxidants, but aren't as subjected to growth hormones that are in a lot of the foods in Western culture. Asian women do have heavier skin care regimens, but that's just some. Most don't follow one, especially if they are from an underprivileged family in a poor country. Their genetic make up does give them more subcutaneous tissue which helps their face shape maintain a more youthful appearance longer than other races. In tropical climates they tend to bathe more which also exfoliates the skin more frequently, thus unhealthy skin cells are washed away at a faster rate.

Caucasians skin tend to be thinner in subcutaneous tissue and melanin genetically so those are two predetermining factors that they generally age faster. Compound that with the fact that many of them love to spend time out in the sun on tanning regimens will only accelerate the damage to the skin caused by aging alone. Studies show that while sun exposure is beneficial as the skin absorbs Vitamin D from the UV-B rays the sun produces, some Whites will sit out in the sun for far longer than the 10-15 minutes that is recommended. Prolonged exposure tends to break down the elasticity of skin and predisposes one to skin cancer which will further attack the skins elasticity.

Granted we have to factor in family genetics as well. There will always be exceptions. You will find some White people who seem to age gracefully as well as some Asian people who tend to age rapidly.

Basically leading a well balanced healthy life can prolong the youthfulness of skin, but one must maintain a daily health regimen as a routine and not seasonal.

Added Note: Men generally are physical creatures and while some guys may see the "tore up" White woman as more desirable. Physically I would be more attracted to the youthful appearing Asian woman. If I were to date a White (or any race) woman I would definitely go for one who appeals to me physically, morally and possesses the most chemistry.

I'm not sure that me and my relatives have baby faces. If that is what it looks like to you, then oh well.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I think that Asians tend to have longer life spans. Health is more important to us. I think it may be related to how we tend to take less risks and are generally calmer than average people, although we do have our moments.

1) They have round faces and lack cheekbone definition, so the 'fat' in the cheeks ages well. As we get older, that fat tends to thin out and if you have high cheekbones, it comes with a sunken appearance

2) Asian skin has more melanin in it naturally. White peoples skin lacks melanin

3) Asians are notoriously vain regarding skin and their skincare regimens. They(unlike whites) avoid the sun at all costs, use whitening creams with spf and products to minimize aging

4) Well, 2/3 of America is overweight due to cantstopeatin-itis. Asians typically have healthier diets that are rich in vegetables, fish(omega 3 fatty acids), fruits and drink white, oolong or green teas which are packed with anti-oxidants

5) Genetics. There are tore up Asians and white women who age gracefully.

Even with their often better than white women genetics, a tore up white woman is still considered more desirable.

I don't think is necessary the melanin... I have very pale skin and baby face, round face with chubby chicks. Though I hate it sometimes I think is better to be like this. I'm 21 and people think I'm 15. My aunt is 33 and she have a baby face too, no wrinkles, pale skin... She looks like she's my twin sister:)) So I think we won't age:))
