What do you think it means?! Man I'm just kidding, don't get your panties ina bunch.
Words are just words, don't over think them. Did you guys interact prior to her leaving? E.g. play wrestling/kissing/anything...? Or did she come over to cuddle and watch a movie? What's the background here that we're missing...!

Theres this girl who tells me I'm so annoying because I exist and she calls me dear and darling quite a bit but she hates me, so it can go either way.
If you guys are just friends and have been for awhile...I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it...I myself like to joke around & call people pet names...just because it sounds corny..so it's a little humorous to me...so maybe you should just joke around & call her darling back...and see what happens...if she laughs then it's obviously a friendly flirty joke...but if she actually starts calling you darling in public...then yeah...maybe talk about it...LoL...
Too little information to go off of to assume she likes you.
I've seen women refer to men they barely even know has, "baby or sweety" and it's the way they speak to everyone. Don't take any true meaning into that unless she hints that she wants to go out with you or (is real flirty in action).
I call people darling, hun, etc, it doesn't mean anything. I even call the guy who sits behind me I call darling (he's about 45).
For me, I will call you something like that if I like you (that doesn't mean LIKE like)
Just say back whatever your comfortable with.

I call people of both genders names like that all the time, sometimes it can mean something, sometimes not. I guess youd have to observe whether she says it all the time around other people or just you. You could call her sweety and see how she responds to it.
Just say goodnight back. I'm sure she was just trying to be friendly, don't read too much into it.
it doesn't necessarily mean that, don't read too much into it.
How about you flirt with her more deeply. The word doesn't mean anything actually. Flirt with her and see how it goes. Or simpler, just ask !
You're looking too far into it...
sometimes. Most likely it's just a habit/gesture.
That's a good sign.
"Thanks, hun" could work.If only that meant that, life would be great!
