What does it mean when a guy holds you in his arms while sleeping together?

Does it mean he likes u? Like when he is hugging you tight from behind when you are sleeping together. I used to see this guy and I'm not sure if he ever liked me, but he always used to hold me tight in his arms and held my hands when we slept together. Is that a gesture or just nothing special? To me it felt very specia and intimate.
