I think manslaughter would've been more appropriate, or 2nd degree murder. I think it was more of a crime of passion.. and I feel terrible for her. She deserves another chance. Also, this guy was farrrrrrr from a Saint. There was some phone sex tape they played in court, and it is so weird his siblings and mother listened to that o0

I'm SO glad that she received murder 1. Jodi is VERY smart as in deceptive,and she contemplated how she would do and say everything...but she is not THAT smart.Jodi knew that she would receive sympathy from SOMEONE because she is a woman and "attractrive".But I am SOOOOOOO glad the case was dragged out,because the longer she spoke on the stand,the more the jurors and the public were able to see how crazy she actually IS.Its a case of fatal attraction for sure.But what's worse is that Jody is NOT even sorry about it...she is sorry about getting CAUGHT.And,I think she is always playing...a game.ALWAYS.For example,before she was convicted,she was pleading with the jurors not to kill her.And now suddenly after being sentenced,she wants death as opposed to life in prison?Sounds like reverse psychology to me.If you tell them you want the death penalty,then you will get to LIVE by getting life in prison instead.If Jodi really wanted to kill herself,she would have done it already...like the first time after killing Travis she claimed that she thought she would kill herself...yeah right.

This woman deserves lethal injection instead of sitting and having tax payers pay for her three hots and a cot.And tax payers are going to have to pay for that freaking long trial anyway!

The bottom line is,the murder was premeditated in every way.She got rid of evidence,and even hid evidence.She lied three times about it before she decided to tell the TRUTH.And the only thing that was true,was that she DID it.In my opinion her whole backstory of being "abused" by Travis was an outright lie.Or saying that Travis was into children...oh please.I loved how she would make these WILD accussations,yet...there was NEVER any proof. NEVER. So she would start with the fake crying that wasn't even worth her getting a golden globe.She should either be given the death penalty,or sentenced to life in complete solitude.To me,that's even worse than the death penalty.Let her drive herself mad by being locked up in a high security prison and in solitude.

For someone to stab someone else 27 times,slit their throat from ear to ear,and then shoot them...ummm...I can't understand why there would be ANY sympathy whatsoever for this person.

No, I feel no sympathy for her. She had time to stop when she went to get went to get something to kill him with and she could have stopped after stabbing him once or pulling the trigger on that poor man. She slit his throat, stabbed him around 30 times, and shot him twice...then she lied, and got tried to cover it up...

She should have come clean if she wanted a little redemption...if there can be any for such a crime

Sometimes domestic violence happens, and a partner committing that will do some messed up things, BUT it doesn't give the victim the right to commit first-degree murder, or any murder. The victim only has a right to stay away from the offender and avoid future abuse.

I don't feel bad, She said no jury would ever convict her, she made up numerous stories, she tried to manipulate the jury and prosecution and trial. Plus she premeditated the murder and took action. She deserves the sentence. No man should face a death like that.

She killed a person, she deserves to die. Killing someone isn't the answer unless it really is in defense, which it was clearly not. She could have gotten out of that relationship and gotten a restraining order if she really was in danger. But she f***ing killed the guy so she deserves to die.

Nope not at all. If the roles had been reversed and she was the man and he was the woman, there'd be no way things would've been dragged out for so long, and the lies she told wouldn't have been believed as much. She's gotten much more leniency than she deserves (granted our legal system requires quite a bit of leniency before a conviction to try and avoid finding an innocent person guilty).

I think what she did was so wrong. I think she deserved what she got, and the death penalty is too good for her. I think she needs to suffer and live out what she did and have that on her conscious for the rest of her life. Stabbing someone 27 times and having the victim look into the mirror and watch himself die? you feel bad for someone who did that? No, she's horrible for that reason and deserves everything coming to her.
