When a guy says 'thank you for existing' to a girl, does it mean he likes her?

So yea the question basically says it all. He said 'thank you for existing!' to me, to which I answered 'aaw so much love for me today, not necessary though'. He responded that he really meant it and he doesn't say that often. What does this mean? Does he like me?

I think it means that he likes you for you and just the way you are. The fact that you exist - alive and breathing makes him happy, you don't need to do anythign else to please him.

That sounds like such an odd comment, but I suppose ti could be interpreted to mean that he appreciates you.

I think take exaggerated comments like that with a grain of salt -- you know, as though you're used to getting compliments.
