Why do people always call me cute or sweetheart? does it mean I'm not sexy or gorgeous type?

both women and men keep telling me I look really cute today or aww your so sweet, your such a sweetheart! ure so cute! especially women, and it drives me nuts cause I'm 25 and at this age I want to feel sexy and beautiful?

why can't they call me pretty or gorgeous or something? does it mean I'm not that attractive at all? =/

I get that sort of outlook from women my age or older, as well. Of course they mean it as a compliment, so there's no reason to be upset.

From older people, this language doesn't imply any lack of attractiveness. Whether it's menor women saying it.

And meh, men, may want to use this sort of language just to soften the compliment. They may be afraid of being called predators or other names if they use the more pointed language you mention, such as sexy. Especially if they know you're in a relationship currently.,

These terms imply you look young for your age..That's certainly not anything to regret.! I focus on that meaning when I hear them calling me cute...

You have a distorted opinion about yourself. Get with reality.

If you want to change something about yourself, it's not going to happen just because you're 25 and entitled to it. If you want to be sexy, go to the gym and work out. Change the way you interact with people. Be more assertive and flirtatious. Do as sexy people do. If you're not willing to change, then you're just not going to be sexy. Get used to it. Not everyone is sexy and they somehow cope and live happy lives... maybe because the whole idea of differentiating between sexy and cute is petty and childish. You're really 25 eh?
