Brax's Tattoo on Home and Away says friend of my heart in irish, thinking of getting the same tattoo but what does "Friend of my heart" mean?

Before you get a tattoo make sure its something that is meaningful to you. Friend of my heart means to me someone I love and who I know would never hurt me. But I have to ask why you are thinking of getting this tattoo if you're not sure of what it means
