What is a "friend" to you?

I don't consider anyone close enough to say they're friends. Acquaintances at best. Makes me feel lonely at times, but it's better than people coming into your life and going away as they please.

Acquaintances are the ones who know me and greet me. That's it. We don't try to get closer than that.

A friend for me is someone whom I can call and count on them to get my work done (and vice versa).

Close friends are the ones who hang out with me daily and know/share way more things than regular friends do.
