If anyone needs a friend to talk, listen or give words of encouragement, you have my permission to DM me. They say as you get older, the shift to calling everyone a "friend" vs. acquaintance becomes more clear. There are those that are dear to me, that I'd do anything for, and there are those who I'm just okay with then existing. I think I need the definition of friend vs acquaintance.
I would organize it like this
stranger: We've talked maybe twice monthly
acquaintance: we've talked maybe once a week or have done the equivalent
Friend: we've probably talked every other day and know the basics about eachother
close friend: we talked every other day if not everyday and know each other like siblings
best friend: I have adopted you as a sibling and you are the one non-relative that knows me better than my actual family.
how about for you?
