This is a learning experience for a lot of you. As a friend, it’s ok to give your friend advice , but you can not make them choose what you want them to choose , unless you have solid proof that the person they are dating is abusive and controlling and you see them being physically or mentally abused , other than that , you should not interfere in their relationship what so ever , unless your friend asks for your advice , understand it’s your friends decision on who they want to date Friends that try to make you choose them over
Your partner, are not your friends, They are TOXIC friends , A Toxic friend will do everything in their power to pull you away from your partner , most people have these friends that they are completely blind to, A toxic friend will find every flaw they can find in your partner , to try to pull you away from them , so you choose them instead. , so hear me out, ’ if you have a partner that treats you good , stands by your side , makes you their top priority and chooses you over choosing their friends , you have a keeper, wake up and start choosing them as well , if you do not have this in your relationship, my advice to you , is to leave. When a partner has toxic friends and they choose those toxic friends over You , they are clearly up to no good period , and they are easily Manipulated by their toxic friends , A true friend is going to support your relationship, and be happy for you , a toxic friend gets off on seeing you not happy and only happy when you choose them over your partner. If you want your relationship to survive you need to eliminate these friends out of your life period and distance yourself from them as much as possible. Trust me on this , I have experienced and witnessed this shit on both sides of the spectrum. To the point I clearly understand friends can easily destroy your relationship. Your so called friends will backstab you if you choose them over Your partner , they also might try to get into your partners pants

When two people are serious enough to know that they are taking on all of life's challenges together, they'll each be the main person in their life for good reason. Any friend who tries to wedge their way in between them is doing it as a power-struggle, and you're right -- is toxic because of that. Real friends will be supportive, just as you would be supportive when they find a life partner.

I'm talking about normal relationships that don't have abuse or anything excruciatingly shitty going on. Just your usual partnerships that go on with most normal couples.

Most people get it. They understand there is another person to consider, and eventually they will have their own life partner and want the same courtesy. But the types of people who play games and test the situation by challenging the relationship and trying to get control over one person are just toxic, and have no business being called friends.

You are exactly right , through my experiences with relationships the main reason they all ended was because of selfishness , , You can’t expect your partner to do for you if you can’t do for them , it needs to go both ways or your relationship will fail. Most people have a hard time grasping this concept because they are selfish people. When boundaries are set in a relationship both partners need to follow those boundaries or it will become a double standard and one sided , causing that relationship to fail. I will not get into a relationship with a girl that doesn’t wear my shoes like she expects me to wear hers , if she starts treating me like I am just an option she might be my option as well or I will walk away period , Most girls I have ended up in a relationship with treated me great in the beginning but eventually their true colors shined and they became a whole different person , choosing their toxic girlfriends over me when she asked me to choose her over my friends , It all turned to double standards and one sided nonsense. So I no longer rush into a relationship with a girl because most people in general are selfish people that only do what is best for them and take you for granted leaving Sucker written on your head. I no longer tolerate that shot when it comes to relationships, if she isn’t wearing my shoes I am not going to wear hers period.

I choose my friends over my partner but letting him know that I'm with my friends. Friends visit rare but parter will be forever with me so he also could understand it.

Honestly you should never choose
Your friends over your partner , it’s ok to have friends and love your friends , but when push comes to shove you should never choose your friends over your partner , the only reason why I say this is because your partner will be with you until the end , your friends more than likely will not. I am not saying you have to tell your friends to back off and stay out of your life but you should only have friends that support your relationship that are happy for you , Friends that try to pull you away from your partner are friends that you should honestly distance
Yourself from , Those are Toxic friends , Toxic friends will do their best to sabotage your relationship without you really knowing it , and try to pull you away from your partner by encouraging you to go places that you shouldn’t be going without your partner , like bars and clubs or weekend getaways , Yes you can say my partner trusts me , but does he really? When a friend eliminates and excludes your partner immediately, , they are not your friend. , A real friend will support your relationship and keep you away from doing things that could cause havoc in your relationship. Just because we know we aren’t going to do something stupid you are always best to confide in your partner first if you want your partner to confide with you first, if you want your relationship to last. It needs to go both ways or the relationship will not survive period. If you love your partner and you love your friends only love the friends that support your happiness and relationship, and distance yourself from friends that try to manipulate you to do things that can effect your relationship with your partner. Single friends aren’t really good friends to have when you are in a relationship , a single friend will try to encourage you to join them in their quest of finding someone. Causing your partner to have a hard time trusting you , why you should always wear your partner’s shoes before ,

Making decisions , That’s where respect comes into play in a relationship, if you can’t do that for your partner do not expect them to do that for you. Your relationship will turn one sided and more than likely end of your partner feels you don’t truly value them. For love to grow between 2 people , Both people have to make each other their top priority or that relationship will not survive what so ever , I have witnessed and experienced this from both sides of the spectrum to realize my partner always needs to come first if I want her by my side

I agree with you. But my case is different. I am very much picky about having friends and right now literally I don't have single friend. So even if some friend would visit me ot would be like temporary kind so I can give them time.

It sounds like You have good friends that support your relationship so your relationship should be ok for the most part , Sadly a lot of people don’t grasp this concept and then they wonder why they keep failing in relationships, They are the type of people that only think what is best for themselves , they do not know how to give what they want to receive , it’s their way or no way , When people have that kind of mindset they will never experience true love , because it’s always someone else’s fault for their actions I have dated selfish girls’ that only thought about what was best for them , that tried to manipulate and control me to do what they wanted me to do but behind my back they were the biggest POS selfish girls on the planet

Well, I choose my friends over my partner but, I do show more love and affection to my partner because if I think he's the right one for me then I will keep him with me. But I will always remember my friends were there before I was with my partner.
