I'm 16 and he's 25 is it wrong?

Like I said in the question. He's 25 and I'm 16. We went out last night within a group and I ended up sharing a bed with him while everyone (including myself) was drunk-nothing happened (except for kissing) , I remember and I woke up fully clothed. But now he's saying he wants to be with me but I don't know, I'm always seeing negative reactions to older boyfriends; but, he was so sweet, he made sure I didn't hurt myself on our way home and stopped whenever I asked him too.

Even though it's legal, where you are in your life and where he is at is going to make things in the long term really tough. You'd possibly be forced to restrict your college choices which can impact what you do for a living. Many girls don't date until their 20's to avoid restricting colleges they want to transfer to.

Plus a guy in that age range is capable of a lot of things that you may not be comfortable with. Many guys can be predatory and just be seeking girls out for sex so he may be able to tell you everything you want to hear and make you very vulnerable and use you for sex and when you feel extremely close to him, he can just disappear on you. It does happen.

Guys in that age range(should) have a job, a car, be settled, and so on. He could easily tell you whatever you want to hear, and then be off at the bar another night talking to another woman. Just use your best judgment.

ok, I will, thanks :). I have already said to him that there is no way I'm jumping into bed with him. And he accepted that, and I said all of that while I was completely drunk

You're welcome. The more he talks about sex(even when he denies wanting it) the more he actually wants it. If he's able to keep friendly with you in ways where sex is completely not involved, then the more genuine he is.

It's not inherently wrong, if two people consent to something and happy with it then that's cool. Practically though it could be a problem as you guys are in very different areas of your lives right now, just think hard about it and don't surrender your future or things you want to do just for the sake of being with the guy, just be smart :).

If you love him go for it. You're the one who wants to be with him. Since you're legal no one can force their will on you so you have to make the decisions. Ask yourself do I really want to be with him? What is it about him that I like? Am I happy with him? Hopefully you self analysis will clear the confusion

My mum always says if you're going to help someone through advice. Then don't be vague or give one line answers. Help them in a way that helps them the most. And I always think through what I want to write. It's a habit I've developed. That's the main reason I come on here shame not many people give best answers to show they appreciate your help

There should be no harm in you dating a 25 year old but remember, you are at very different points in your life when it comes to life experiences. Just take things slowly and see where things go :)

I personally think the age difference is too weird because you're only 16, probably like a sophomore in high school and he's old enough to be out of college for 3 years lol

yh, completely. the legal age here is 16

I know a couple that are 36 and 19. Age is just a number.
