Are guys nice to girls for no reason?

My friends brother is always really nice to me (is interested in what I have to say looks at me sometimes) and I was wondering if guys are nice to girls for no reason just cause their nice guys or if he actually likes me? :)

I can't speak for all guys, but I'm one of those nice guys. I'd like to think I am, at least. I see people, and I talk with them. I say hello, ask how they're doing. I listen. I relate if I can. I converse. If she asks how I'm doing I tell her what's up with me. That kind of stuff. But I'm like that with everybody to an extent. Guys, girls, whatever.

It seems like an odd question to me. "Are you nice to girls for no reason?" I mean do you need a reason? What are you implying I want? A date? Sex? Yes being nice might get that, but I mean think about it. What about you? Are you nice to guys for no reason, or are you only nice to the guys you're interested in? If your only reason for being nice is because you're after something, then what does that say about you, and if that's not the case, then that's good, but you should then ask yourself another question: Can't guys be like that too?

Anyway, I don't mean to dump all of that in your lap. I guess the short of this is that I don't actually know if he likes you or not, based on that alone, but I can tell you not to rule it out. If you like him, though, you could always try flirting with him to see how he responds to that. If you want to get really direct, you could just ask him out sometime. After all the worst that can happen is he'd say no, and so long as you don't get crushed about it, or let it get weird or try to avoid him, then it won't get weird.

So those are a couple of options. But really I mainly suggest flirting if you want to find out.

No, generally, no, they like girls, they want to stay with them, for many reasons. But they donot let them know...for emotional reasons or for fun for sex, or they need mother, sister like friends. They always need female friends for many reasons.

In my opinion only when the guy is asexual or homosexual as I find most heterosexual guys are generally nice to gals to get something from them.

Most of the time if a guy is really nice to you, he's attracted to you. Most guys only show basic social politeness (this is different than "nice") or either are standoffish to women they don't find attractive. Some guys are even rude/dismissive to women they aren't attracted to. But most guys are nice to you because they think you're cute.

there are SOME guys who are nice to everybody, but most of them are not like that.

well I used to be when I was much younger, now I am very cautious when deciding to be nice to women or not, they just read into it way to much for good or bad and I don't need that sh*t.

All of us other guys want, more often than not, sex from you when we are nice to you (especially if we don't know you at all or very, very little)
