Do youever feel like you were born in the wrong family?

I love my fam and I appreciate them so very much, but I just find that I really don't have anything in common wih them. I feel like they are all very alike in many ways, but that I am just the odd ball out. I don't want to sound harsh, but I am happy that I'm different than them because I am the most successful person in my family and I'm only 24. I just feel like I don't belong sometimes, ya know?

But besides them (and my sister who has very similar values to my own)...no.

My family is conservative...but also very hypocritical. Praise God!..as I go out and get drunk and have sex with anything with a hole.

Yes, I chose a lifestyle different than theirs and my convictions are some they wouldn't dream of and their convictions I reject.

My family is full of loving wonderful people but as a whole there are people so close, like cousins and aunts or uncles that I have very little in common with in terms of values and ideals.

I am actually starting to dissociate from my family, because both parents have flaws that they don't usually acknowledge. I'm not saying that I'm perfect in anyway, in fact, I have major problems that need to be dealt with, and I'm fixing them right now. However, both act like they are perfect in every way, and often look down on people in general.

i thought I was the only one who felt this way, yes I very much do and sadly due to finiacial issues I currnetly live with my parents again and I hate it.

they are horrible judgmental and I am very accepting of people. we are polar opposite in nearly everything and I sadly hide so much of my life from them because of this

While I'm not really that similar in terms of personality to my parents or my siblings, I feel I've been born into a family whose ideals I can get behind. So no, I don't feel like I've been born into the wrong family.

Yup! People in my family are so freaking weird (NOT in a good way) and I rarely never go to family stuff because I can't stand being in the same room as them (I'm not talking about the closest family like parents and siblings).

Sometimes, My parents despise each other and always ave since the day I was born until now, in fact they split a few minutes after I was born, but I'm not gonna let my family ruin my life.

No as while I'm not similar to my family in many regards they do have the values and ethics I find reasonable.

Yes,always. My family is very close-minded and judgemental. They never understand me, they don't care about my opinion and they also don't respect me.

I can't imagine myself born in another family. I'm so blessed to have them! It's not perfect, my dad is strict and I'm always being compared to my older sisters but how can I hate my sisters? they're one of the kindest people in the universe!

yes but it's more because I don't see a loving and respectful relationship between my parents more than anything else.
