The wind is natural and if strong enough it can be a problem. As for girls today are more "active" (as much as it pains me to put this) why not just wear pants or shorts then? As for bending over or walking up stairs the problem is the skirt/dress girls wear today as so short.

Idk, girls just seem to love wearing skirts and dresses and they wear shorts under so they can be active and still wear them I guess.

Wearing shorts under my skirts and dresses would make my butt look weird with the extra layer of cloth.I wear a seamless pantie under my skirts and dresses to make my butt look ''smoother'' and more presentable.I don't even wear shorts under my jeans.

Try some spandex shorts underneath, that's what I do it's never made my butt look weird or the skirt look bulky. It's actually really comfortable :)

I am guilty lol. I do that when I wear short dresses. My shorts never show but I wear them to be 100% secure. I don't want to flash anyone.

I have never seen someone go to the extreme of taking pictures, seems a bit far. Do girls just wear shorts to stop cameras? Seems extremely unlikely to happen you would notice someone taking a picture.

Marilyn was from a different time though so hard to compare to today. While she did enjoy attention skirts were much longer back then and I don't girls wore shorts under them bac then. Think it's more a recent thing from about the 80s.

Wearing shorts under your skirt to cover your thong, makes sense I guess and then makes it socially acceptable then as well since the thong can't be seen :p

The main reason is women does not feel secure due to men/boys out there..

so to avoid all this things we girls started to wear shorts under it..

They are continuously waiting for a girls to wear skirt or dresses and they see under it or lift it.

Wearing shorts also gives us a though that we are safe.

WELL if you're wearing a short dress/skirt chances are that anyone could perv at your butt. By wearing a pair of shorts underneath that prevents people from accidentally (or intentionally) catching a glimpse of your underwear :P haha

Like if it poofs out more you wear baggier shorts like normal shorts but most the time spandex shorts since they are skin tight they interfere with the skirt/dress the least and make it the least obvious you are wearing shorts under :p
