Making a skeleton bath tube like the one I found in Michaels but which color tub to choose as my base?

They say you are supposed to get 8 hours of sleep. I rarely do.

Personally, I don’t care whether or not I receive one. But I do think it’s silly to expect it within a month, let alone two weeks! People work and are busy. If the woman is working and doing the housework, why is she expected to be the one to find the time?
I think three months is a good time frame.
I appreciate the gifts, but think it’s silly to expect thank yous. This tradition will die out with gen x. We already spent so much time, energy, and money on a wedding. (Weddings are really more for guests than anything) I find thank yous to be more of a nice surprise than anything. Like coming into work and there’s donuts because you’ve been working hard.

A long time ago when I used dating sites, I would receive introductory messages by men who would say something like, "I love your photo, tell me more about you," or just plain old, "Hi."

At first I chose not to reply to any of the men I had no interest in. But I would get many of them pestering me with, "I sent you a message. The least you can do is thank me for it instead of leaving me hanging."

So I considered this, and decided to give all men from that point the courtesy of a reply. My reply was, "Thank you for your message, but I don't believe we are compatible. Good luck with your search." Sometimes it was merely a "I received your message. Good luck with your search."

But then I was sent angry responses back such as, "What's your problem? / You don't even know me. / Yeah. No wonder you're single."

As you can tell, I was damned if I did, damned if I didn't.

Even though I'm out of the dating pool, this has often left me wondering how GaG members handled first-approach dating app messages? Do you believe you should send all who are interested a response of some sort? Or do you think you simply don't owe everyone a reply? What do you say or not say?

Are you okay with where your life is at the moment?
For me yes and no, (happy) as a new adult I'm getting used to the new world. My life is at a still point and not being so hectic

(crappy) I hate the fact that I'm getting used to my relationship with boyfriend as in getting used to being around someone who actually cares for me, and won't hurt me like others have in the past.
Also, it's hard to get a job

Would men prefer her to have a job as well?

I 23F have been with 32M since November 2022. His last relationship was with someone one year older than me which should have been first my red flag.

I have introduced boyfriend to a handful of friends. He becomes so drunk and high (unbeknownst to me) that he essentially becomes mute! If he does manage to muster out a few words his speech is very slurred. I had to carry him home to bed and would pop back out to continue the night on with my own friends on both occassions. boyfriend has never seen the issue with either night and doesn’t understand how it would embarrass me.

My friends were more than surprised when I revealed he was 32 and they were very quick to say he comes off as very young and immature. The last thing I want to do is introduce him to my immediate family out of fear he’ll embarrass me AGAIN!

His house is filthy and he’s spoilt! Mummy and daddy have paid his bills and insurances up until this August. When it came to paying his first electricity bill and car insurance renewal he was none the wiser and needed guided help. He has a degree in IT and software development.

He has been driving more than several years and inherited his car basically brand new. His dad always did the insurance and brought it to the garage for repairs and paid for them. Mummy has even offered to clean the house he also inherited several times but thankfully, boyfriend says no.

I asked him to help me clean his house one Sunday after I woke two hours early to get started and he give me the “you’re not my mum” and “stop annoying me” speech yet suggested another time I come out a day early to clean while he worked. The house is filthy, destroyed in mould, and smells of damp. Instead of buying new pillows for the bed, he wants to try and wash them first (despite being covered by mould and pillows being cheap).

Even when we text, he types like a child. He’s 32 but it’s still ‘bby’ not ‘baby’, ‘meh’ instead of ‘me’, and the conversation isn’t a whole pile of stimulating typically.

Sometimes he goes for a shower, or making dinner etc.. he would leave his phone on the sofa or table
He doesn't take it with him

If he's cheating, he would always take his phone with him right?
Or not necessarily?

Lawmakers and Their Staff Receive Warning As Crime Skyrockets in DC


According to a Newsmax report, lawmakers and their staff in Washington, DC, have been warned to protect themselves as the city’s crime rates keep climbing. In an informational security briefing, House Administration Committee Chair Representative Bryan Steil explained that everyone thinks “differently” when they’re the victim of a crime.

He pointed out that the main goal is to prevent anyone from becoming a victim by providing the proper tools. In the briefing, which his committee hosted, Steil also noted this is not enough and claimed there are many policies the city needs to solve its crime problem.

Steil explained that many other cities across the United States are experiencing the same issue as the capital, and that he and many of his friends and family members have been victims of crime. He pointed out that one of the scariest things that happened to him was during his time as a staffer on Capitol Hill in 2004 when he and his friends were robbed at the front of his porch at gunpoint. The GOP Wisconsin representative told attendees this happened in the middle of a barbecue.

According to different reports, car thefts and homicides have skyrocketed in Washington, DC, along with many other crimes. Back in March, a staffer for Kentucky GOP Senator Rand Paul was brutally stabbed while walking across the capital city’s H Street Corridor. A month before that incident, Minnesota Democratic Representative Angie Craig was severely injured after being assaulted inside an elevator of her apartment building.

Law enforcement officials also advised attendees to never get distracted by their smartphones and to avoid talking with strangers or even walking with other people. Pemberton also told congressional staffers and lawmakers that those who currently claim that crime in the city is lower than in the 1990s are lying.

I differentiate depending on the temperature of my room but usually I like longer sweat pants-ish pants with a top or an oversized tee (usually from my boyfriend) with shorter shorts.
