depends in what country i'm in. in america i'd never. her life would be ruined, she'll be even broker and she'd go to prison, and all that. besides that often doesn't fix the situation, like when addicts often get drugs in prison or relapse when they are free. in the country i live (france), you dont go to prison for doing drugs. instead the police send you to rehab (high quality, and free) and make you take mandatory sensibilization courses on drug use. you can only get charged if you distribute or sell (or plan to) or do stuff in public. thought unless you're selling it, the charges aren't very high. so for addicts that can be a good way to help them. i wouldn't necessarily rat her out (most likely wouldn't unless she was close) but maybe i would if it was the best way to help her. i'd think it through though

No, for two reasons. First, it's none of my business. Second, the police won't do a damn thing about it.

If it's someone I knew, I might try to help her, but not by calling the police. I would not let someone like that drag me down tough. It's on her, and she's the only one who can quit. You have to keep your distance from someone like that. Otherwise it can be too much of a drain.

I mean, if she had kids and she was putting the kids in danger yes. Was she a teacher at a school I'd report it.

If some situation forced my hand but other than that I don't care.

if i knew their friends or family i'd tell them to try and get them some help. but i wouldn't bring law enforcement into the picture

Yes, because that would help her out, & people giving dope dealers money makes them powerful so that they can have more guns, & they will also congregate in the area that you live in. They are also likely to commit other crimes if they are in the area. I disagree with the attitude that "it's none of my business". What if, by your doing nothing, a family member got hooked on the crack?

They police won’t do anything. Not unless she has some on her persons. Police don’t care much for users.
You may want to have a talk with her if she is someone rather important you too. Or send her to a rehab centre.

That she’s addicted doesn’t mean that sells it or hide it. She isn’t doing anything illegal by being addicted so I wouldn’t report her.  But I would tell her family if I knew them
