I see racism as "negative" and "positive". Positive DOES NOT mean good.

Positive racism is when you promote or favor a person or group based on their race. I saw this especially starting during the Obama election. Many may call this "reverse racism". This can cause tension among racial lines and cause division. Affirmative action programs are also an example. This is a tactic often employed by the socialist left.

Negative racism is when you deny or have disdain for a person or group because of their race.

I realize after many years behind the bar the only cocktails I really ever used gin in was long Island iced teas, Negroni, Gin and tonic for the older ladies, and a rare Tom Collins. What's your Gin drink of choice?

This image taken by NPR depicts what liberal folks are calling a “spontaneous diversity pilgrimage." Members of the local woke community were seen walking toward a rainbow in solemn unity, presumably searching for reparations, climate justice, or the last remaining pronouns. Armed with umbrellas and moral superirority, the group paused only to reflect on the systemic oppression of weather itself.

Some people might interpret this as being “lazy”, but that’s not exactly it. I’m FAR from lazy. I’m just tired of putting up with the same BS that is involved with being employed by someone. 🚨 OKLAHOMA BECOMES FIRST STATE TO TEACH TRUMP’S LIES AS FACT IN CLASSROOMS 🚨

Oklahoma is leading the charge to rewrite history — literally. Starting this fall, high school students will be required to learn Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election as though they were proven facts. The new social studies curriculum, pushed through by far-right Superintendent Ryan Walters (R), isn’t just misinformation — it’s indoctrination, funded by taxpayers.

The curriculum teaches kids that there were “discrepancies” in the 2020 election — citing imaginary ballot dumps, mail-in ballot fraud, and the collapse of “bellwether” counties — all of which have been debunked. There was no widespread fraud. There was no halted counting. There is no evidence. But truth no longer matters in Oklahoma classrooms.

This is the first state to formally enshrine Trump’s election lies into official curriculum — and he’s cheering it on. Trump personally praised Walters, who already spent state education funds on Trump Bibles for public schools. Yes, taxpayer money went toward religious propaganda bearing the president’s name.

In a move that stunned even conservative educators, Walters rushed the 400-page changes through the State Board of Education the night before the vote. He packed the standards committee with right-wing media figures — including Dennis Prager & Kevin Roberts from the Project 2025 creating Heritage Foundation.

To make room for this revisionist Trump narrative, the new standards erase most accomplishments from President Biden’s term and instead focus heavily on the Bible. Christianity is now a major thread in Oklahoma public schools, with lessons on David and Goliath for 6-year-olds and entire courses on early Christianity for teens.

Far-right activists like Moms for Liberty are openly threatening Republicans who dare oppose the curriculum, warning them they’ll be “next” if they stand in the way of Trump’s rewritten America.

"Now, that message of free trade is one I conveyed to Canada's leaders a few weeks ago, and it was warmly received there. Indeed, throughout the world there's a growing realization that the way to prosperity for all nations is rejecting protectionist legislation and promoting fair and free competition... And today many economic analysts and historians argue that high tariff legislation passed back in that period, called the Smoot-Hawley tariff, greatly deepened the depression and prevented economic recovery.

You see, at first, when someone says, ``Let's impose tariffs on foreign imports,'' it looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting American products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while it works -- but only for a short time. What eventually occurs is:

First, homegrown industries start relying on government protection in the form of high tariffs. They stop competing and stop making the innovative management and technological changes they need to succeed in world markets.

And then, while all this is going on, something even worse occurs. High tariffs inevitably lead to retaliation by foreign countries and the triggering of fierce trade wars.

The result is more and more tariffs, higher and higher trade barriers, and less and less competition. So, soon, because of the prices made artificially high by tariffs that subsidize inefficiency and poor management, people stop buying.

Then the worst happens: Markets shrink and collapse; businesses and industries shut down; and millions of people lose their jobs.

There are those in this Congress, just as there were back in the thirties, who want to go for the quick political advantage, who will risk America's prosperity for the sake of a short-term appeal to some special interest group, who forget that millions of American jobs are directly tied to the foreign export business and additional millions are tied to imports. Well, I've never forgotten those jobs."
