So refer to my other posts about her for context on our relationship between each other and dynamics etc. So I was checking my Instagram today which I do once a week to a few weeks and was in my messages section and noticed on the preview it changed from her reply back to me on a story she posted a few weeks ago to now saying “ this account can’t receive your..” so I checked in depth because I was like wtf this supposed to mean and turns out she had unfollowed me. I don't know if she been unfollowed me for awhile and she just changed her dm privacy settings or she literally just unfollowed me in the past week or so because last time I checked my messages about a week ago I didn’t notice it saying anything like that. Last time we interacted was a week ago through text and opened up to her about feeling really sad since it was the anniversary of my mom passing away and the girl is religious so she sent me multiple paragraphs of encouragement and Bible verses and had asked her if she needed prayer or anything and mentioned her pet recently passed away and was extremely sad so sent words of encouragement the next day and she didn’t reply. Was planning on giving her some space and check in on her next week but now I don't know if I want to or even if I should. Should I I play it cool for a few months when I return to her youth group and invite her out to catch up and stuff and then ask her about it?

Let's say he has to give a performance review or talk to her about her work or just do an update about how she feels about her position in the company.

Should the meeting take place behind closed doors, should their be a female HR rep involved, should it be in an open area, etc.

The main problem is that it doesn't really function like private insurance. It does NOT assess flood risk for EACH property; instead, premiums reflect average historical losses within a property’s risk zone. Moreover, the floodplain maps determining a property’s risk zone are often several decades out of date. As a result, premiums may bear NO relationship to the true risk of flooding. The cost of an federal policy averages about half of what would be a market rate. Congress actually mandates this inaccurate pricing method. In 2014, it hastily revoked a few tentative steps at reform after constituents complained loudly when they tried to charge something approximating market rates for flood insurance.

Who benefits from flood insurance? People in flood-prone Gulf states like Louisiana and Florida, of course. But many beneficiaries also share another characteristic: they are upper income. The program does not charge nearly enough to cover the expected costs of its liabilities. The assessments are not sufficient to build any buffer to cover an extraordinary year, such as what occurred with Hurricane Katrina in 2005 or Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Because homeowners don’t incur the full cost of building in a flood zone we end up with more houses there than if homeowners incurred the full cost of the flood risk, which exacerbates the government’s costs in the next disaster. The optimal solution would be for the government to get out of the flood insurance business entirely and leave it to the private market, which would endeavor to accurately measure risk and charge a price for its insurance that covers the expected costs. Smart reforms would also help Congress refrain from throwing money at disasters, bailing out homeowners who shouldn’t have built in flood-prone areas to begin with. Sensible long-run incentives to mitigate damage would discourage such homebuilding by exposing homeowners and businesses to the real cost of building in floodplains.

Hey Dear sisters, I could really use some advice. So, I’m in a loving relationship with this girl, and we’ve been together for 2-3 months now after being friends for over a year. She’s been emotionally supportive, and I’ve really grown to care about her. We flirt, tease, and imagine scenarios, but here’s where I feel stuck…

I’m not super experienced in relationships, and I’m not sure how to take things to the next stage—like, we’re still at the hand-holding and cuddling stage, and I’m not sure how to transition from that to something deeper. I want it to feel natural and not forced, but I just don’t know what’s the right way to go about it.

Another thing is, I’ve been feeling a bit insecure. She’s still in touch with her exes and occasionally drinks and smokes with them. I don’t drink or smoke, so I don’t go to those hangouts, and I trust her, but I can’t help but feel insecure about how she sees me compared to them. I know she says she loves me a lot, but I wonder if my lack of experience or not being part of that lifestyle makes me seem less exciting to her.

Do you have any advice on how to handle these insecurities and move our relationship forward, both emotionally and physically? I really care about her, and I don’t want my feelings of insecurity to mess things up. Would love your perspective on this. 🙏
