After reflecting on how the most bullshitful things i recently talked about all were suggested to me by people i trusted and while i was under stress, though they weren't trying to brainwash me and i wasn't trying to be in a trance, i recognized that stress makes us suggestible from an extreme and unfortunate example.

But the same mechanism still happens among people who have chronic low grade stress (which is >99% of everyone living in the modern world) the more stressed we are the more suggestible we are, no matter how hard we try not to copy others.

So, have you found yourself fighting an uphill battle of trying to stop copying someone? And do you feel emotional pain often (i believe grieving is the only way to purge chronic low grade stress, but we must grieve the very oldest thing we ever repressed)?

I intentionally don't use the word "race" because I think it's a social construct. But our ancestry isn't. And sorry, white supremacists, your group doesn't have the highest IQs. Asians do. But does this mean anything to you?

"The Collaborative Perinatal Project is a longitudinal study of over 53,000 children followed from birth to 7 years. Up to now, studies have analyzed data on the 17,000 European American children and the 19,000 African American children. Here data are reported and analyzed for a sub-sample of 100 Asian Americans. The Asian sub-sample averaged a higher IQ (110) at age 7 than did the white (102) or the black sub-samples (90)."
