So long as you don't make him feel different like he is a freak then there's nothing wrong with addressing the elephant in the room, you know how tall he is, so you obviously asked around, seems its a bit of an issue to you, why?
6'2 isn't that tall really, just don't make a deal of it, don't get hung up on it and don't obsess yourself with it and you won't even notice it, if you try to dance around the subject or get weird about it he will pick up on it and will find it more offensive that its obviously an issue you dare not approach but is for some reason on your mind.

I'm admittedly on the "old" side, yet I don't think a man of any age would find much of a compliment in being told he is tall. If someone offers me this, I always think, either they have an odd compulsion for stating the obvious, or they're trying to think of something nice to say about me, and this is the best I can inspire. Height is something we're assigned, not something we aspire to.
I get told I'm tall a lot too, since for my ethnicity, I'm quite above the average height. But anyways, I just take it as a fact and not really find it much of a compliment or an insult. Of course when they add that I should be a model, that could turn it into a compliment :)
Well I get the oh wow your short a lot, I'm only 4'9 but I've dated someone that was 6'2 and known guys that were taller then me. The jokes or sayings is normal thrown my way first so I just joke right back to them.
i think it is annoying. (even though I'm a girl lol) 'you're tall' ...'yea, thanks for letting me know...' its obvious. and its annoying when people point out the obvious.

I'm 6'4", and am reminded of my height on a daily basis. While some people manage to ask how tall I am, and make it sound insulting, those people are far and few between. For the most part, its just random conversation, and I don't mind at all. I make it a rule to ask the height of the person who is commenting on my height, just for fun. If a cute girl tells me that I'm really tall, its cool that a cute girl said something to me, but there isn't much I can say back, and that is the only problem I can think of with letting somebody know that you think they are tall.
I think It is so F**king annoying! I hear it everyday, and it makes me get out of my self, but when a girls says:
Oh, you are tall.
Then I say:
K, what's your point?
She says:
Nothing, that is just nice.
I like tht, but the other people that just wantes to annoy you telling it are just so F**KING ANNOYING, sorry, but I hate it so much...
It's like, I know I am, and they say: ''you are tall'' and then I say? yeah right, I didn't know that -.-
That is just so F**KING annoying, rlly, I can´t undertsand, I know I am, but people say it -.-
Mostly when they ask me, how tall are you and sh*t like tht I ask, ( how much do you weight)I doubt you're going to hurt a guys feelings by telling him he's tall. I'd give anything to be tall and wouldn't mind people telling me about it. Unless they are extremely tall - like over 6'5. Then it might be annoying, because they probably hear it all the time.
i´m 6´3 myself and I personally think being tall has many advantages ( if your not a skinny rag and look just like a circus freak)
i just hated it when I was younger and the (female) teachers or women or anyone said " look how much you´ve grown you´re really grown up a lot since i´ve last seen you " and all this sh*t but today in a normal not teasing way no problemmost guys would take it as a statement of fact. neither a compliment nor an insult, just you stating an observation.
Im 6'2" and that wouldn't bother me at all. I think "hows the weather up there" would be pretty dumb, but just a friendly, "wow, you're tall" would work.
As a girl, I hate it when people point out how tall I am. It's like 'thanks, you don't think I've figured it out by now?' I wish I were at least a couple inches shorter.
just an observational fact. but if you say it slyly, then its a compliment and quite attractive.
I don't mind you telling me I am tall, so long as you don't mind me telling you that you got big boobs!
It's an insult. I read it as "yeah you're tall and that's awesome, but why aren't you seducing me, you big oaf? Be a man you little sissy!'
i think he would just take it as "stating the obvious"
Sadly I'm not tall so I've never heard the expression. It would be nice though...
I don't take it one way or the other.
It's like "hey you're tall"
"ok"Funny, a girl said that to me yesterday. I'm 6'0. It didn't mean anything to me really.
Hahah I just reply well your short I don't like it myself its like saying your a freak
I don't really like it. I don't dislike it either, lol
I'm 6'3 and I hear it very often. It depends..it could mean 2 things.
1) compliment
2) you're a freakdont worry about it that much... it is just an observation. 6'2 is pretty tall so maybe he's used to it?
i always find it to be a great compliment because I know girls liek taller girls
he might take it as a sing that you like him or a compliment either way its a plus:)yeah, its nice to hear that.
