I appreciate his honesty. But I just want to know what he means by it and how he feels.
If there is something wrong then how should I fix it.
Generally I would interpret a sharp tongue to mean someone who makes frequent harsh or critical comments (usually those comments albeit harsh and critical are usually witty/clever in nature)

So I can see how people associate it with someone who makes witty remarks, however witty does not necessarily have a negative connotation to it while a sharp tongue has a negative connotation to it.
You could ask him what he means by that comment.
It means he's one of those guys who likes to talk in an old fashioned way bc he thinks it makes him look cool and smart.
And what's that?
What's what?
Most of the time a having a 'sharp tongue means that you always know what to say. Always have witty come backs, stuff like that.
It can also mean "Too sexual" or "too much swearing" depends on the person saying it
I don't do either.
It may be the first onw then. Maybe he just meant that you're witty.
I think a "sharp tongue" would be in reference to "cutting words". You are saying things that are hurting him or his feelings.
He did say it made him uncomfortable sometimes.
*sigh*
