would you let them touch you anywhere appropriate? Would a touching the face would give the sign of a potential relationship or does it have to be touching hands (at least) to give them the hint? Just to let them know you like the person.

Touching your face is an intimate thing to do, and may indicate a desire to get to know your more. Touching hands also indicated interest and willingness to get closer and to get to know the person better.
