Having dreams about imaginary girls?

I'm currently in a happy long term long distance relationship with an amazing girl who I love. We never have any real problems, the occasional disagreement but that's about it. We hope we can be together for the long run, marriage family, the whole deal.

And yet still most nights when I dream, I'm always with some imaginary girl I've never met before and I instantly care about them and they make me really happy. It's always innocent but they're just very joyful, playful and caring.

Again probably overthinking this and I wouldn't normally take any notice of it but I never dream about my actual girlfriend, never at least in a memorable way.

I think these dreams are some subconscious thing because it’s an online relationship with your girlfriend, meaning you don’t physically ever meet/regularly meet so you don’t really know what it’s like to be with her on a physical level (i don’t mean sexually, i mean literally physical, being able to hold her hand, live with her, etc) so your mind is dreaming up imaginary girls that she could be like, or imaginary girls to fill that void of lack of the physical part of the relationship, if that makes sense
