Do on again off again friendships/relationships ever work out?

Matched with this gal online back in October. We met a few weeks later. We stopped talking for a while after that because she quit replying to me.

I wished her a Merry Christmas and we talked for a few more weeks until she quit replying.

I went to a baseball game Saturday and swore I saw her there so I texted her. It wasn't her but we've been talking everyday since and she's even mentioned doing things together.

Sometimes they do, but how can you have faith in your situation? She’s been the one to break it off each time, how can you trust that she won’t ghost again? That would be my bigger issue.
