Because I admittedly put up a front that changes based on the person I'm talking to and the situation I'm in. I can be warm and friendly when needed to, and I can be cold and dismissive with people I don't want to have around. I can be patient and understanding when the situations calls for it, and likewise I can shout and fume like a drill sergeant when required.

I'm not, actually- I'm about as simple as it gets. But the human brain does not respond well to simplicity when it expects complexity, and so it makes you think I'm hiding something, and the fact that you can't find it just makes it seem like I'm hiding it really, REALLY well.

Because I was raised in a world that wasn't complicated. I lived by the Golden rule and was raised that all women were ladies. Now I know generally lying is second nature to women. It took years to get to this point. Always on guard and girded for battle. Lol
And now I'm told the problem is I'm emotionally unavailable lol.
I feel like Tim Burton's Batman when he's dangling the Joker over the edge of a building and the Joker tells Batman " you made me". And Batman replies " you made me first".

A lot of people are complicated. I am a very complicated person who masquerades as a much simpler man. I had a lot of turmoil in my life and each chapter made me feel differently about certain things. By the time I was 50 I have all these experiences that have effected me.

Because you've never confided with him what you appreciate about the relationship. It has been invariably theorizing most of the time. Learn to communicate your feelings instead of holding them back. If it's what you really, want. You would put everything on the line to receive it. Right? If you really needed to do some cleaning because your guests are coming over. You would clean.

Because I have lived a very unique life and did a lot of self reflection and was always interested in philosophical ideas and debates as well as science and science fiction. To this day I haven't met very many people like me and always get told I am a very unique person with very unique ideas.
