Girls, how intimate is a foot massage to you?

Recently a friend of mine from work had a house party and while he was on the couch watching a work video, a coworker of ours put her barefeet under his legs because they were cold, he grabbed them and started rubbing them for about 5 minutes. I know there is nothing romantic between them but his wife was really upset about it. I asked my wife about it and she said she would feel the same way, and I probably wouldn't like it if another guy massaged wife's feet either. Do you think his wife is over reacting? Do you think it's to intimate even if you're just friends?

No. You don't. Hence that right there is your first clue this is a male/female dynamic thing. If you are in a relationship, right off the bat you are walking close to the line to start giving massages to women that aren't your mate and women receiving foot massages from men that aren't their mate.

Some people do have foot fetishes so for some it actually may be borderline sexually cheating.

The bottom line... it is close, extended skin on skin contact, between a man and woman that may have relationships with others. It is very understandable this could cross some people's boundaries.

Good point. Because I saw it as weird but playful, nothing really sexual but like you said, if he has a foot thing I'm sure his wife would know, which would be a different story all together.

Thats weird.
I put my feet underneath people all the time cause theyre always cold..
But if someone who is not a massage therapist, and who im not together with started rubbing my feet I'd feel weird.
So i personally find that "intimate".
Id feel some type of way if my boyfriend was on the couch rubbing some chicks feet as well.

I thought it was weird myself vs being anything sexual because it seemed they thought it was more funny than anything but @Miristheisis made a good point. If he has some type of foot kink I'm sure his wife would know about and that would take it to a whole new level.
