What are your thoughts on having a Gamer for a Significant Other?

I currently have a boyfriend who is a gamer, and I have dated a gamer in the past. So, I don’t mind it, as long as they are able to be functioning adults and active in the relationship…

I fully support my boyfriend if he wants to play games, stream, or do whatever. I will play some video games with them if I know how to. I actually don’t mind just sitting next to them and watching or watching streams.

All I ask is that they are active in the relationship and are able to function as an adult… Meaning, don’t be completely engulfed in video games that you can’t or won’t do anything else, spend time with me, work, etc. It's okay if it's a hobby, just don’t make it a debilitating addiction…

My boyfriend is good at time management for himself, work, hobbies, and me, so I am totally content with him being a gamer and being in a relationship with him. I even bought him an RGB gaming mousepad that fits his current setup.

He’s an anime nerd too…

that depends on your definition of a gamer...

if you mean someone that plays video games from time to time, I would not mind it... if they're actual enthusiasts and video gaming is one of their main hobbies I would not mind that either

but if they are the type of person that spend a lot of time and resources into video gaming for hours every day, and start to neglect or just push away or not pursue other aspects of life... then I would not be into that

if they were professional video gamers... I would not like that either, because then they would be obligated by contract to dedicate endless hours to just video gaming, and that would just not be compatible with me
