Do most couples kiss and make up after an argument? No matter their age or how long they have been together?

I need to know because me and my man argue and we never ever have make up sex. we have been together like 8 years but still whenever we argue we don't talk for about a day or 2. Then it usually ends with him giving me a kiss and saying sorry. Then that's it , There is no intimacy after it he will just move on and not even talk calmly with me about it. I do try and cuddle up to and try to get him to respond. Just he just goes to sleep. I've always questioned this about him.
