Did my boyfriend lied about why he deleted all his birthday wishes last year on Facebook? Should I ask again?

My boyfriend and I had been dating for 2.5 years. We live together.

He is not the type of guy that likes to share his life on social media. He doesn’t even have Instagram. I would say on average he post 1-2 post a year. He only posted one photo about me and I basically made him post it. The relationship status had been Single and he only hid the status and not put “in a relationship”. I also had to tell him to do that. His exes were deleted. But, I also noticed that girls who he used to date/hooked up with is still on his Facebook. I do post photos and videos and tag him. It shows on his wall and his friends can see it. It’s not just me but my family and friends all post things and tag him.

Last year, I noticed he deleted all his birthday wishes on his wall. I did read the posts before he deleted them and nothing seems strange to me. Unless if I missed anything. The only thing I saw was his ex’s uncle wished him a Happy Birthday. He had told me before that he sometimes keep in touch with the uncle on Facebook. He doesn’t even live in the country. Nothing sketchy about that post either. The uncle also likes my posts as well. I did ask him why he deleted all the birthday wishes and his answer was “I just don’t want those random Happy Birthdays on my wall from people I don’t really talk to”.

First, there were roughly 15 of them. It’s strange to me how he spent all that time deleting each one. Second, he never deleted any other birthday wishes on his Facebook in other years. This year, less than 10 people wished him a Happy Birthday on his Facebook. He also don’t talk to those people but didn’t delete it this year. Third, that obviously cannot be the reason.

Is it worth it to bring it up again a year later? I don’t think he is cheating or anything like that. I just think he’s hiding something or someone from the past which he doesn’t want me to know.
