Sometimes I feel one way or the other about it. Sometimes I don’t mind the thought of going through life by myself.


No drama over misunderstandings and mistakes, more money to save or spend on the things I want, living comfortably in my own space surrounded by only the things I like, no hair on the shower wall, more time to do the activities that I want to do. If I should fail in life, it only affects on me and not anyone depending on me.


On the other hand, it also sucks to see all these idealized views of what a good relationship could be through music/movies/tv etc. and come back to reality and be bummed that I have no one to share those feelings and stuff with. Even worse at night to sleep in a big ‘ol bed with no one to share it with.


I’m no longer concerned about actually finding a partner, I know some women are into me, but I’ve been thinking a lot lately that a relationship belongs in the “another time, another life” file, and that I should just keep my head down, dedicate my life to work, hobbies, friends, and family.

The idea of being with someone does sound cool, but perfection doesn't exist, so I don't care, as long as I'm happy.

I do think if I were not able to be happy on my own and feel good on my own, then I would have a lot less chances to make someone else happy once in a relationship again...

so yes, love yourself and your own life is a good great start, in my opinion, lol
